Arguably the greatest pro-wrestler of all-time, TNA's Ric Flair might be able to add the job of NBA cheerleader to his impressive resume, as the former "16 time" world champion is lobbying for the Los Angeles Clippers to bring him in to help excite the fans. According to a Friday December 16th report by ThePostGame com, Ric Flair made the following comments:
"I generated a lot of excitement every time they used to play it after he scored and it definitely lifted the team. I wish him all the best and if the Clippers want to give him a great welcome and make him feel at home, they know where I am. I heard that they have sold out their season tickets after he signed, so there is going to be a lot of excitement. I can help make that even better."
While playing for the New Orleans Hornets, Paul and Flair filmed a video of Ric doing his trademark "wooooh". Paul would have it played, on the hanging big screen over the court, after every free throw he made. Flair has been a fan of Paul's since his days in college when Chris played for Wake Forrest.
The Clippers orchestrated a monster trade for Chris Paul earlier this week, sending multiple players and a draft pick to the New Orleans Hornets. Paul's first game with the Clippers will be on Christmas day against the Golden State Warriors. Unfortunately, the Clippers are traveling to Golden State and won't be able to play the Flair promo.
Lets do this! Bring Ric Flair to LA!
