"@mcten asked Pau Gasol why things got so chippy btwn Lakers-Clipper tonight. Gasol said he felt the Clippers were flopping too much"

what do you guys think about this?

Even though its just preseason it feels like the Lakers vs Clippers game wasn't just a regular preseason game. It felt like both teams wanted to show who the real top dog in LA.

I can't post the link because it says rookies aren't allowed to post or link a site. Help Please? @ramonashelburne was the one who posted that.

Gasol need to focus on not having Bynum and possibly KB for those 1st 5 games of the season.

...and the whiny excuses begin. Oh no, my bad, they began when Stern wouldn't accept their washed up hacks for the best PG in the league in his prime.

^ exactly. the nba is "screwing" the flakers. yeah when the nba has gift wrapped players in one sided deals for them and being given advantages to win titles with biased refereeing and blatant one sided calls they dont complain. talk about pathetic. im just happy that our clips are contenders now and the lakers are headed towards mediocrity hahaha

Hey guys... Blake does flop a lot... its his best defensive move actually (unfortunately). He does a really good job emphatically falling backwards as soon as he feels contact. You know its a flop, because there is no way guys like Barnes can make a beast like Blake Griffin fall like that. I have mixed feelings about it, i guess its good for the team, but I'd rather him just try and play good hard defense.

Yes, but Blake flops when he has position. Pau flops like he just got sniped when he gets out-muscled.

Yea, thats true. I guess its part of the game, and im pretty sure they are instructed to do so. I just don't really like it.

Exactly SD. Blake is only exaggerating a hit. He doesn't act like he got shot when there was no contact like Gasol.

There's a difference between "flopping" and "selling it". As a soccer fan I can speak for that. Flopping is a mindset and a cowardly one at that. You have to anticipate things not going your way and then trying to disguise it when it happens the way you thought it might with the sole intention of deceiving officials.

hey gasoft, a word of advice, maybe if you quit running over our players, you wouldn't get offensive fouls called on you. in the meantime, take a look at what snoop dogg thinks about you, gasoft.

and yeah, blake sells it, but doesn't flop. a flop is where there is little to no contact and the player falls down. I'm sure mid way through LAST season, blake was taking the hard hits and not selling it so he wouldn't be called a flopper. But I'm sure he realised that those hits really are hard, ( i'm sure hte hits are really hard, but it doesn't really move griffin cause he's so big, so the refs never get to see when griffin gets fouled.) and that he has to find a way to show the refs that he's getting hit. he flops to show the refs that he got fouled, or else with blake's huge size, the refs will never call fouls unless blake gets hammered.

That flop that Blake took was still an offensive foul. He was in position and Barnes was out of control. Just because Blake threw his head back it is going to be mocked by Lakers fans.

Gasol is an aging veteran that is used to being the top dog, and its obvious that he is bothered by the Clippers high-flying antics and attitude because of our youth.

I always thought of Gasol's hate for Blake and the clips to be compared to a ballroom dancer that walks into a club and watches other people grind against each other and do the modern dances. Gasol's game is so different to Blake's and its amazing to think of the contrast of basketball style

Let the crying begin. Barnes is mad cus we celebrate too much after dunks. Gasol is mad because we "flop" too much. Players and fans are so alike in Laker nation. glad i've been a part of CLIPPER NATION! LEGOOOOOO!!

Haha this has to be a joke. You guys notice, since we have a decent squad for the first time in a while...and people are mad we got CP3...people find all kind of way to hate on us?

They say we flop

They say we will not make the playoffs

they say we are all bandwagoners

NOTICE, people hate on us like fans did the Heat last year..but I mean its The Clippers..cmon now. Just notice it is not going to stop. Think of every ridiculous way people discredited great teams and hated on them and now you will see that applied to the Clippers. It is really a joke.

Whats next? We act like thugs out on the court because we like to dunk?

There is a difference between FLOPPING and being a Flopper (Pau Gasol, Ginobli, Raja Bell, Derek Fisher etc) and setting your feet and taking a charge. People that do not see this are blatantly hating on The Clippers. We will hear the most ridiculous reasons as to why fans should hate the Clippers and let them begin.

To see multiple Lakers players cry to the media is awesome. Those spoiled jerk offs have gotten used to getting all the favorable calls including their million flops.... and now that tables are turned they cry.

I LOVE IT! Your tears taste so sweet to me Barnes and Gasol!

I always knew the demise of the kobe lakers was gonna be sad, but i didn't think it would come this soon. Clippers fans beware. You will have to listen to laker fans talk about all their past championships for a while. Too bad they won't get another unless they get dwight. Then Kobe can continue the tradition of riding big man's coattails to another ring(Shaq,Pau,Dwight?.

The Lakers are just afraid of the Clippers overshadowing them for once. The funny thing about trash talk is that it's just talk and doesn't matter.

The thing is is that if the Clippers get a rep for flopping and arrogance (based on showy dunks and celebrations) they will end up with a target on their back and every player in the league will be looking to undercut Blake's knees at the first possible opportunity. It will end up being some unknown scrub who decides he wants to make a name for himself. Something to think about.

Still, if the lakers didnt want them to celebrate dunks, you would think not allowing them to dunk by playing better defense would be the answer. But the lakers just don't have the ponies for that show.

SF let them come. We had the most confrontations of any team last year and with Evans we are even more formidable when it comes to fighting/scuffles. We have the guns to handle it and enough hot heads where we can dish it right back. We just need Evans to immediately step into the role of bodyguard. Maybe add another big for the same purpose.

i love the evans signing even more. we need enforcers. butler and evans bring that toughness to our team. they are not punks like crynum, barnes, and fisher. the lakers are pissed cuz they are looking at the clippers gradually pass them by while they dream of getting howard. even if they get howard, who else would they have to play with kobe? murphy? steve blake? barnes and fisher? they still would be missing depth.

Guys, going to battle against Lakers will be war. Clipper nation, ill try to attending the Lakers vs Clippers game to make sure our nation is loud and proud and know those fakers suckers out of their own building. To tell you the truth, I have a feeling the Clippers will win the Championship, it's just matter of time. I really want the Clippers win their first championship and this year is a perfect time to weather storm. Can't wait to rub it down to Lakers fan's face. Hate their agorance.

Nobody has injured anyone from Miami yet, and I'm pretty sure that imitation Zoolander fashion show they did before last season was the single most arrogant sports related thing I've ever seen. On the court, nobody's injured Jet Terry yet after he runs down the court woofin' and doin' that stupid airplane arm thing after every 3 pointer. Flopping and arrogance is all over the NBA. Blake will be fine. I hope he does more of what he's doing...

Also, I didn't think that flagrant was a flop. He got pushed hard from behind. The others were flops though.

Com'on man....the Fakers invented the flop.

Do you not find it strange "LA's real team" , the team that is always perfect, the team that can do no wrong, the team "everyone" roots for,, feels as though they need to bad mouth our Clips in the press and shove them around on the court (BArnes should have been tossed)? Why do they do that we ask? Because our guys have them on the run before the season even starts. Fakers are already nervous about us,,and the season hasn't even started yet.

THen the Fakers and their fake fans can't understand we we love the CLips. At least we don't have a bunch of big cry babies on our team. Wah wah wah.....
