Kobe & Gasol that's it.

Bynum's missing 4 games and to me has always been overrated. Derk Fisher may be the worst PG of all time to play on a championship team. He's about 50 and may put up 6 points and 2 assists a game this year. They are starting Devin Ebanks LOL who makes Al Aminu look like an All-Star. To give depth they signed an over the hill and often injured Troy Murphey and put Ron Artest on the bench. They've got nothing outside of Kobe and Gasol and Kobe has long since lost the top 5 even top 10 player appeal in the NBA.

Put all that in with a new coach and a new system and the Lakers will be lucky to land an 8 seed in the West.

This doesn't belong here. If you don't know how this works, get to know this site before putting stuff where it isn't supposed to be. This isn't a Lakers forum. Put in the right section.

My bad, but I've noticed a lot of non Clipper news isn't really talked about. I've been on a couple forums that have mitigation on where certain things belong but in order to garner attention sometimes an off post needs to be posted elsewhere. Anyway you can move it?

I just honestly think the Lakers outside of Kobe and Gasol, maybe Bynum literally have nothing going for them at all. If I were Buss, I'd highly consider trying to bring in Gilbert Arenas on a mid level deal or a Vets Min to play PG and have Fisher off the bench. If the Lakers didn't have Kobe I'd say their team would be identical or worse than the teen/20 win teams we've had in the 2000's.

id love for them to finish in the lottery but have a pick between 10 and 14. that way they cant get any of the stud prospects that are going to be available. then again they have kupchak as gm, they would still blow it lol

No way. No team can drop off that much without some major changes. Remember, this is only the first two games.

I wish. Bastards always find a way to contend. Remember in 2005-06, their team was supposed to suck but somehow won 45 games.

Even if the Lakers picked in the lotto they'd still get a stud. The top like 15 players all could go top 10. This draft is deeeeeep

Good thing the Clippers don't get the opportunity to dip into that talent pool? They should honestly deal a future draft pick or 2 to get back into this year's 1st round.

No team can honestly be that stupid come draft day to trade a first rounder this year for a future 1st rounder in years to come. This draft is going to blow the 96', 03' and 85 draft outta the water.

As much as I despise the Lakers, I even think they'll make the playoffs, but as they're currently constructed, they're likely one and done. Kobe's reverting back to the 2003-07 version of himself chucking up 30 shots a night (and ironically enough, much like back then, he's dealing with a major off-court distraction), and I don't have faith in Mike Brown as a head coach. Couple that with their age and lack of depth, their experience of Kobe, Gasol, Fisher, and Bynum will still get them to the playoffs.

They'll make the playoffs. The delicate giant alone is enough to get them a low seed (if he's on the court)... add Kobe and they'll definitely get in, but probably without home court. The division is ours to lose.

they will make the playoffs at a 7th or 8th seed and get trounced in the playoffs. hopefully they have to face us lol. so we could humilate them in a sweep.
