| Unfortunately EB is a great fit for the Heat. With Shaq and Zo gone they'll have some cash especially with Shaq gone. EB+Marion+Wade+ weak Eastern conference = chance at the NBA finals. If we don't make MAJOR moves - Heat Time. EB once said he wanted a ring and he ain't gonna get it with this team. We need to gut the team. Everyone is expendable except Chris and Al. Miami will have 3 all-stars . Unless we get 2 or two monsters --Oh Well Hoping for draft picks again |

| ummmmmm.......not really. EB is loyal, does want to win, and with a healthy core we are way better. Even with kaman, EB, Maggette, and Mobley. I agree with you, we need to bring in a major player to our squad (Shooting Gaurd: Miller or kMartin) but you sound extremely desperate. Gut our team???? WTF??? We have a solid squad and bench. We need to get Miller ASAP!!!! If we don't we really don't want to win or they wanted to unload miller and cardinal which is a bad move on our part if we take cardinal. Why didn't they unload him on the other evil LA team. Lets say we don't get miller. Livingston needs to come back stronger than ever then we pursue Kevin Martin. If livingston doesn't show promise we need Calderon and K-Mart. That's what wee need if we want to win. We have the close-mid range weapons, we need our long range bombers and snipers(sg,pg) to complete our team. I believe Livingston is up to the task but WE DESPERATELY NEED MILLER OR K-MART. |

"But if you tell me Riley is building a team around Dwyane Wade and Shawn Marion, I tell you that you don't know Riley and you don't know NBA history. Pat "Small Ball" Riley? I don't think so.
Despite what they say in Miami, the consensus is the Heat will let Marion's deal expire after next season and head for a big man like Elton Brand, a free agent after next season whom Riley tried to sign as a free agent in 2003." |

| I just get the feeling that EB will be a Clipper for a looong time. We do need another star player but that can be accomplished through free agency and the draft. I don't think we're desperate for anything though- we just need to set the tables for a big run next season. |

| EB is the superstar of this team, so without him where does that leave us. I assume he's the Clippers number one priority when it comes to keeping someone around for a long time. |

| Kevin Martin is a young star on the rise. Good outside game, and athletic. If we could get him, it probably would help. I agree on Brian Cardinal. hehe. |

| I wouldn't worry to much about EB leaving for Miami. If he does opt out (which he will not because he is too loyal) the clippers can offer him a max contract. And with the up and rising rook in thornton, Brand's Sidekick CK, and hopefully a more consistent (and smarter) Maggette next years team will be poised to make a long playoff run if not win it all considering they find a point to run the offense. (suggestion: J. Caulderon) |

| I seriously doubt EB will go to Miami. I really doubt he'll even opt out. I don't expect Coery to opt but i don't quite expect him to resign in the summer of 2009. Miami doesn't have that much cap space, Marion is somewhat well payed |

I agree, EB is not likely to choose Miami. The Heat are deluding themselves:
1) If they resign Marion, they'll be practically at the cap and won't be able to sign anyone significant for a few years. So the Wade-Marion-Brand trifecta financially cannot happen.
2) If they don't resign Marion, why would Brand want to go to a last place team for less money than the Clippers could offer him? When all they have left is Wade?
So I don't think it will happen. I'm not even the least bit concerned. |

| Kobe might convince Maggette to sign with the Lakers and take Lamar Odom's spot, at the same time, trying to win a championship. |

no way, the Lakers don't have enough cap space for Corey. They would be able to pay almost nothing. And if its money he's looking for, he won't find it there. |
