Sam Cassell and Q Ross are still Clippers.

So is Sam going to remain quiet or is he going to lash out about management and tell him what he really thinks of this team?

Man, so much for high hopes. I was totally against any moves till after the season ended and just when I changed my mind, this happens....go figure.

I am just bent that Sczerbiak was traded, and Miller wasn't and the Clippers weren't involved

This just in: Sterling fires Baylor & Dunleavy...then finds a way to resign Brand, Maggette, Ross, gets 2nd pick in the Lottery and drafts Derrick Rose. Clippers make playoffs. Just Kidding.

Personally, I was quite surprised that no trade was made. I am happy, however. Although the Clippers failed to make necessary changes, I think no matter what happens this year, nothing good can come out of it. We shouldn't waste our cap space now. I am happy because I expect a major signing in the offseason.

Sign Jose Calderon, re-sign Brand and our problems are solved. It's that simple. Draft a SG who can consistently shoot the ball, and add a backup Center. Ross & Maggette (keep one of them...I'd prefer Ross because he is a D-specialist and there arent many in the league...and because he'll cost a lot less...and we got The Thorn). Those are the minor things.

3, 2, 1- we're still in great shape! We didn't make any hasty moves to forfeit our future! Laclippers and JLemm are right- we're in excellent shape to sign a difference maker + get a great player in the draft.

That plan is a good one so long as we can sign Corey and Elton to extensions. If we can add a top draft pick and a great outside shooter to a core of Kaman, Brand, Maggette, Thorton, then we have taken two steps forward. If we lose one of these players, the its one step forward and one step back. Therefore, no progress. So, draft picks and free agent signings will be important to us, just not as important as signing Corey and Elton.
