And with good reason! The ref was Ron Garretson that he was talking to. This was a CLEAR flagrant 1 yet the ref called it a regular foul. Zero attempt at the ball and a two handed push in the chest on a dunk. This is similar to the foul Brian Cook gave Przybilla which was called a flagrant last year.

That was totally a flagrant- zero attempt to go after the ball, and a DANGEROUS play especially in mid-air. Maybe the NBA will upgrade it to such after reviewing it. Blake had all the reasons to be upset there.

def should've been a flagrant... and at least he was nice enough to call the ref by his name, Ron. Smile

He's right. I mentioned this before they have to call more flagrants on him. A lot off the time he's going up in the air and they push him, they don't even go for the ball. He's going to get injured if they don't do something about that. You see him hesitate a lot now most of the times because he's getting afraid too get injured. If they start calling al those fouls flagrant he's going to have more alley oops and highlights dunks but now he's finding other options first because he doesnt want to get injured..

i have many mixed emotions about this

as you said he may not be dunking as much and thus this forces him to find other options which I believe is a good thing for him in the long run. He doesn't need in game practice in dunking. In fact in that game I believe it was afflalo? who fouled him on a break and instead of dunking it he layed it in for a nice and1. had he tried to dunk it, he may not have gotten that.

Now it terms of his saying that to the ref, I like that he's taking a stand, but cursing at them won't get them on his good side. His decisions on how he responds should be based on his goals to get those fouls, not based on pure emotion, that's not going to get him very far. As I've said before, he needs to start kissing their asses before the game even begins and of course during it. He needs to joke around with them a bit here & there and as gay as this sounds, build some chemistry with them.

BTW, did any of you hear/see DJ talk **** to someone in the nuggets crowd, it was kinda funny.

Funny thing is the NBA said they were going to enforce flagrants more. They said that hits in air with no attempt on ball would be flagrant 2's way more often. This wasn't even called a flagrant 1!

I totally agree. Nobody politics like Kobe, and just look at all the calls he gets.

I didn't see the DJ/Nugs fan stuff, but if you can get the video I'd love to see it.

yeah but kobrick is a flaker. if im not mistaken, he gets away with verbal abuse of officials. and yet he gets less technicals than dwight howard. he isnt exactly the nicest player in the nba. if he were on another team, i doubt he would get away with that bs.
