EJ is going to be way too expensive for us to afford. But I'll pass on Mayo after seeing how crappy he did against us series- he helped us beat Memphis, that's how much he sucked. How about Kevin Garnett & Ray Allen if they would both somehow be interested?

He's going where the money is. I think he's going to Brooklyn and team up with Deron and possibly Dwight.

This

If we could somehow pull this off...and keep Kmart or Reggie, billups and young or foye. It'll be an amazing summer.

Kevin Garnett should be made the priority. If we can pick up Allen too for relatively cheap than good, if not put the $ on KG.

Next season

Keep (no touch): Griffin-Paul-Bledsoe Try to keep: Evans/Kmart/Young/(Billups if he's healthy) against a low price The rest of the team is for me trade bait. Butler didn't convinced me this year, had some really unconsistent games for that price we pay him. Jordan really disappointed me, especially in the playoffs, we pay him way too much. We need a dominant center especially in Dfence and he needs to make some offensive plays and a 2/3 player who can defend and of course a new coach who can make us more a defensive team and add some rotation plays on offense. I think Olshey will pull another big rabbit out of the head again. Try to make moves before training camp starts.

no Mayo, Bledsoe outplayed Mayo in our series with them. Gordon will be trying to find his way to Indiana, where he's been wanting to go for forever.

Eric made an enemy of Neil (and me and hopefully a lot of Clipper fans) when he talked sh*t about our team. He should have had some respect and foresight and just given the cookie cutter quotes that the media wants. "It's a business" "I want to thank the fans for their support" "I'm excited to start a new chapter in my career with a great organization here in N.O.", ect ect....Instead he whines and cries to the media that he was betrayed and lied to. Even if nobody listens much to Eric Gordon, this is an attack on our FO and our organization. Bad publicity negatively affects our ability to recruit and sign FA's and it can also hurt our negotiations with current players we want to keep. He hurt our team. Whether he's smart enough to understand that or not, I don't care. If I was in Neil's shoes, I would not bring him back even if he fell in my lap for free. He should have kept his mouth shut.

I will always give a pass to EJ for talking sh*t about the Clippers. He was betrayed by the organization. I know trading players is part of the business, but THEY told him that they were not going to trade him. I would have talked sh*t too! EJ wanted to stay a Clipper. He was a huge reason why the Clippers began to turn the corner and began to become a respectable ball club.

That being said, I would love to see EJ back. EJ didn't fit personality wise with the team before CP3, but I think his personality would of fit great with CP3.

Still got love for EJ... but no way he's coming back to the Clips. He wants the kind of money that we simply don't have. Would love to see him go to his hometown in Indy if they could afford him. Collison/Hill, EJ, Granger, West and Hibbert would be one of the best starting fives in the league.

Some of you guys are unaware of how truly tight our cap space is for next year. If Billups wins his lawsuit and keeps his bird rights, then we can go over the cap to re-sign him, which would be great. Otherwise, we lose him.

If Mo Williams picks up his option for next year, we are completely screwed. At that point, our best case scenario is picking up Evans for the vet min (if he will take it) and using our mini-MLE (2.5m) to sign one player.

Foye is gone, in any scenario I think.

Our best overall scenario is Billups wins his suit and we pick him up over the cap, Evans takes the Vet Min over the cap, Williams walks, Foye walks, and we pick up someone like KG for $8M/yr, and sign some scrubs to fill out the rest of the roster to 12 players. The other scenario is sign Young and K-Mart instead of KG. But I do not know of ANY scenario where we sign someone like KG for $8M, AND we can keep Young and K-Mart (much less Foye and/or Williams).

We have the money. We just don't have the cap room.

Gordon will command at min, 10 mill a year and Indiana has the cap room and he clearly wants to play there. Gordon stays in New Orleans, goes to Indiana and with a 1-3% chance signs somewhere else ( on a crummy team for big bucks ).

Repped High Quality Post

We can't go sign a bunch of big money free agents but it's not as bad as you say. The roster is already good we only need minor tweaks and you dont need major cap space to do that We are right at the luxury tax line and most of our free agent players are playing at their market value. Unless you want major overhauls we are in good shape regardless of what Mo does. I'd want to keep as much of this team in LA as possible. Reg didnt do anything different this year than he has his whole career. He was worth the minimum this season and well bring him back for something similar next season. Foye is worth exactly 4mil per year and that's what we are going to keep paying him. He can easily be resigned without raising our payroll. Nick makes 3.8mil this year he's worth up to 7mil and we will offer him 5mil. He will prob take our offer and stay home. So maybe we add 1-2mil there. Kmart will prob get a midlevel offer from somebody. He's getting old he wont get a much higher offer Maybe it's worth it maybe not but I'd offer him 4mil and hope he takes it. If he stays we go up maybe another mil or two tops. Billups will get his bird rights but it won't make that much difference. I think we sign him for less than 5mil. Again not a big jump from the 2mil he's beingaid this season.

So keeping those five guys might cost an extra 5 mil next season. That POS Gomes will of course be amnestied so that frees up 4mil in cap space. whatever the small raises are there won't be a huge effect.

With Mo it seems clear to me how it'll be handled. If he opts in we immediately put him on the trading block but in the meantime use the MidLevel to sign Nick because he has no bird rights. Sooner or later Mo will be flipped for a big wing, stretch 4, or a true Center with some sort of offensive game. If he opts out(which I think is guaranteed because he knows he's going to be traded if he opts in), Nick is signed first under the cap and then resign those other guys. In that case we still have the midlevel so we can get a quality guy to add to the mix. I think it'll be Odom on a seriously low bargain contract but there will be a lot of guys out there happy to play for this team on a midlevel contract.

We are in pretty good shape. The team is already pretty good. Just need a couple pieces and we have the flexibility to do that.

EJ Frogs will fart first. KG - froggie fart. I think he'll retire as a Celt if possible. He doesn't need the $$$. Ray Allen? He won't come off the bench, at least not for the Clippers. Neither will Billups.

Could he handle being the possible #3 option (CP3, Blake then EG) or even coming off the bench (depending on if we can get Chauncey back) or is his ego too big

Well if Mo doesnt resign for his expected 8-9 Mil what about signing a guy like Jamal Crawford or Ryan Anderson?
