Can't see what people are telling him but I take it Clippers fans are letting him know what they think of him because he gets mad.

leave the guy alone. He plays hard and seems like a really good locker room presence.

I'm so sure one of us in this thread is the troll.

A bandwagon fan and a troll.

We know how hard he works day in and day out.

We've seen how committed he is for the team when he and Baron Davis initiated that "players only meeting in the bus" last season.

Or do you know that???!

The guy is in a slump for quite sometime now.

He needs our support. Support from GENUINE Clippers fans.

Let's just do our part as LAC fans.

We need no Solomon Jones bandwagon fan here. (No offense to Solomon)

This forum is exclusively for genuine L.A. Clippers fans at heart please.

Support our players. Support LAC.

The guy getting called out for this in no way trolled Gomes. He said a few things about Gomes being in the game and I'm sure he wasn't the only person doing this. He never used @gotgomes in any of his posts. Gomes wife flipped on him for saying "Gomes is useless." She needs to get off twitter if she can't handle a fan saying that.

On a serious note, That's BS but, high profile people literally set themselves up for this type of crap when they sign up.

I'm really annoyed with Gomes' play of late but this falls on the coach. If he's not contributing, put someone else in. Try to Rook or even Cook. haha

How we know he can play? When was this? Not this year or last year, or ever as a Clipper.

Gomes is straight blue collar and is completely underappreciated (especially last year). He's obviously is having a slow start but his role on the team has changed so that's to be expected. I'm confident he gets it back on track.

And to the knuckleheads that give him beef on twitter, that's low. Real low.

He deserves it. He makes four million dollars per year. The first time we need him this season, he goes for 0pts. 0 rebounds, 0 assists in 21minutes.

He's so bad. He's going to cost us dearly if Caron is ever hurt for a period of games. Unfortunately, Gomes is the reason we have to trade Mo.

It's really hard to play inconsistent minutes and expect the guy to hit shots. However, he's a professional basketball player and the shots he's been taking are freaking WIDE OPEN SHOTS.

Hope he gets out of this funk or VDN will have to try Cook or Thompkins.

"I'm done with this..."

Hopefully, that means he's going to be spending more time shooting jumpers and less time on f**king twitter!

Joe is right that these celebrities walk right into it... Why would these people willingly give a forum to anyone who has a whim to spit some hate?

Gomes should drop off the 'twit' radar and do whatever it takes to get his mind to a point where he can help this team in more ways than just taking a timely foul. Meditation, Yoga, Hypnosis... whatever. He even spent time in practice waving his arms around in front of DJ shooting FT's... maybe it's time for DJ to return the favor for Gomes' jumper.

He wasn't good in MN. He was a 10pts. per game guy on the worst team in the league. He couldn't even start for them consistently and there was zero talent on those teams. He sucks. Olshey's worst move.

Potential is out the door. He's 29years old. He's peaked. This is as good as it gets. He'll have a few games where he gets wide open layups courtesy of CP3 and will fill up the stat sheet a little bit...But it doesn't change the fact that he's not a legitimate rotation player on a good team. Never was.

^^^Agreed... And we're seeing just how weak a player he is... When he was young and hungry, he had a good year with the Celtics that bought himself a career and riches, but he's alway been a journeyman in ability.

That's why GM's should never get fooled about numbers that are put up on a bad team... That's something we should know about as a lot of our "stars" went elsewhere to play. Loy Vaught, Ken Norman, Gary Grant, Mo Taylor and many more were considered bright young stars on our teams and most barely cracked the rotations on good teams... And were soon out of the league.

Y'all act as if Gomes could easily take some magic elixir and all of a sudden be knocking down everything.

As if he should be doing something he's currently not. Gomes has been in this league a long time and has proven he can ball. Dude's just slumping.

In any case, whether you think he's good or not isnt the point here. Why tear down a player when he's down?

I gave up yelling at people to sit Dow and shut up when they would verbally harass kaman during and after home games. Not to mention people that boo during home games.

I respect loyal laker fans much more than unloyal clipper fans. (but just by a hair lol)

part of the clipper fan base are acting stupid on their behave if you ask me!!... I honstly believe that gets us nowhere is suporting our team, it brings down player morale and we cannot not have that in ClipperNation..Gomes just had a slump, everyone has those days...Disrespecting a player is shameless and should be taken to consideration by others that those are not true fans of the sport...Wake up people!!! Gomes in the nba for a reason, because he is good and i support him all the way....Remeber were here to win ball games, playoffs and with "support!" even titles but how can we do that when ignorant people are going off at our team!

If we're just going to blindly support all of our players, what is the point of this forum and others like it?

Conflict makes drama and drama is what makes life and art interesting. If we all just get along and agree on everything what a dull place this would be. It's already been a lot less interesting since we traded Baron...

It used to be more fun to come on here and gripe about Baron, management, Sterling etc. than it was to watch the games. Now, thankfully, the reverse is true. But the reality is we need an upgrade at two positions... Back up center and backup SF... One of those positions is currently manned by Gomes, who simply isn't getting the job done and hasn't since he joined this franchise. To call 100 games a slump is a little Pollyanna.

Our team is gelling (including Gomes). We don't need to mess with his head and mess with the chemistry that they have. He's a good, nice, locker room guy. He just needs to get used to the pressure and relax and hopefully he can start contributing more.

Everyone on the team is a part of the family. We stick together, we win together.

I know exactly what transpired. It was someone I know personally who was just venting his frustration, but never directly at Gome's twitter. Just saying what you guys would be saying on here or in front of your TV. Gomes' wife was notified of it on her twitter and she proceeded to respond to that person's tweets with a profanity laced tirade. She probably ended telling Gomes after the game about it, which lead to Gomes tweeting about it.

If any of you follow Gomes' wife on twitter, you know what I mean. She could literally be on Basketball Wives. She's like our version of Doug Christie's wife.

Again, it was never tweeted directly @ Gomes' or Gome's wife twitter. Someone snitched to his wife and she went on a tirade at that person.

Yeah, looks like your buddy closed down his twitter? Don't see his username active anymore. Gomes' Wife should know that there are going to be people out there that talk good or bad. it comes with the territory. I'm not defending her actions but it is true that Gomes has been playing like crap. Hopefully this motivates him and fuels him to be a better player.

who's we? I don't want Cook to ever get a second on the court this season, or ever. The only thing Cook has ever been good at, he can does badly this season. Gomes is who he is, a low minute player on this team. Only reason he played, was because Butler couldn't play. I'm more worried about Butler's health than I am how Gomes does when he has to cover for him.

I saw what Gomes tweeted, true he has been sucking as much as Brian Cook this year (difference is Gomes makes 4 mil) but even though this is the case I would not take it to him directly. This makes me think the guy who riled up his wife is not a real Clippers fan but someone who just started watching The Clippers and said "Hey let me talk ****"

Now I hate Brian Cook and it is not a coincidence we have gotten on this streak with him getting 0 minutes a game. He sucks so much that giving Reggie and Solomon (even though he is tough to watch sometimes) his minutes has made us that much better. BUT I would never take to twitter and talk **** to him. Although by the way some people on here have posted about how arrogant he acts out in public ...well haha.

We need to support our players and not break them down. You can tell it bothered Gomes because he acknowledged it and was almost intent on telling himself he didnt suck. Gomes is horrible on the road, and he is a little less horrible at home but we need him and it is unfair to direct hatred his way.

You guys are sounding like laker fans. I understand the frustration, but some of these guys go out hard. They practice hard and try to do their best, maybe the outcome is not what they wish or what we want, but i know gomes play hard. So does Cook, you cant tell me he doesnt try hard when i see him dive for balls and fight hard for a rebound. Yeah they maybe in a slump or not as good a we hope, but they try. I can understand if these dudes are bad locker guys and cancer and you guys whining and complaining, but they seem like good locker room guys and good cheerleaders. Ha. Our team is playing well, we should embrace that and not the negative. Starting to sound like Laker fans its pathetic.

Yeah, it's just unprofessional. Fans say this kind of stuff everyday. As a player or player's wife, you just have to have thick skin. I mean, Brian Cook gets grilled on Twitter, yet you don't see his wife attacking people on there.

Just imagine if LeBron's wife was on Twitter. How would she even handle the literally millions of hateful tweets?

I saw the tweets. Not even close to trolling. Just calling it out saying how he's not being productive on the floor. It's the truth and in the interest of the team winning games. Not like the person who tweeted stuff was talking smack about Gomes as a person or his family. Just from a basketball angle. Not professional to attack at fans like that. We all want to see him to do well. Gomes and Cook are actually really nice guys, but they get the most flack.

I didn't mean trolled because of that tweet. I didn't know what set the Gomes' off... I thought it was all the random insults from the fans lately, which is why I titled it trolled. Obviously in this case the person who set Gomes' wife off wasn't trolling.
