In the Clippers current condition, it is hard to attract one of the better free agents that are being bought out of their contracts. Most want the opportunity to catch on with a team going to the playoffs. So, Sam is off to Boston, Flip signs with the struggling but playoff bound Pacers, Jeff McInnis likely going to the Warriors, and Tyronn Lue is adding depth to Denver. So, who is left for to the Clippers to give a run for the remainder of the season? It will be somebody that a playoff team won't gamble on. It could be Smush Parker who will be bought out today. Ironically, Smush had his best two seasons here in LA starting as the PG for the Lakers. He averaged 11 points on 44% and 36% from the 3. He is seen as inconsistant on defense but does get alot of steals. He is really more of a combo guard than a pure PG. You say you don't like Smush Parker? Well..........whose left?

If its just for the remainder of the season, why not give him a shot? I thought he was treated unfairly by the Lakers. I thought his shooting was not that bad. He can't play any worse than Dickau on defense..right? I would take him
for the balance of the season if he promises not to hit female parking attendants. Wink

I actually liked Smush while he was with the Lakers. Hey, he will never be Steve Nash, but he is agressive and athletic. He is really a combo guard if you ask me so he could be a backup at the 1 or the 2. If he could somehow return to the form he had with the Lakers, shooting 44 and 36% from the 3, thats plenty good enough for a guy coming off the bench. Now, can he keep his head screwed on straight? Well, he does have something to prove now, doesn't he.

As a big Laker fan, everyone hates Smush. Take him if you wish, but he will be disappointment.

I never cared for Smush Parker. I thought he was overrated and not the kind of guy to run the floor for you. Just my opinion though.
