'Jermaine Taylor will workout for the Clippers on Friday, according to a source.

The Clippers have been pursuing J.R. Smith, but he appears close to a deal with the Knicks.

Taylor was a second round pick in 2009 by the Washington Wizards, but traded to the Houston Rockets."

He doesn't seem like a guy who should get meaningful minutes on a playoff team. A couple of 10-day contracts to get us to the deadline?

Never heard of this kid or even seen him play, anybody know anything about him? He seems pretty efficient on his shooting. Guess Vinny wants some extra guard depth, not sure if it's because Bledsoe's not up to speed yet and the coaching staff is worried about possible injuries.

With Leslie trying to get minutes, just not sure why we'd add some random guard to our roster who's also not tall enough to guard the 3.

he played or the kings last year and did an ok job backing up marcus thorton...he is about 6'4 210.....and plays sg and pg......he is kinda a jeremy lin type player in that he doesn't do anything super well......but when he gets good chances to play he produces.......just hasn't found his team and system yet..............was with houston and the kings both teams that have been trying to remake themselves by trying to pick up bigger names to entice their fan base with in the last 3 years which hasn't provided him with that good chance to stick.

^^^ Yeah, I don't really see this as some kind of long-term solution. Just a body to add while we try to work out a trade for someone better. The guard version of Solomon Jones.

This was his best game last season - 21 points (75% FG%) and 5 rebounds in a 111-105 win in Orlando (he was playing in front of his friends as he's from Florida).

Learn the rules of the NBA before say false stuff........hes not solomon jones and you can't trade someone you sign mid season.

^ Uhh, ever heard of 10-day contracts? Maybe we keep him and waive Cookie. Of course he's not Solamon Jones... 88's point was that Jones was a temporary measure until K-Mart became available, and if we sign Taylor it would probably be a similar situation. Chill out, dude.

^^^ Maybe you should learn to read better, especially before you try and call someone out. Where did I say we were going to trade someone we acquired mid-season? I just said we probably are trying to work out some kind of trade. Nowhere did I mention who would be traded. Multiple reporters, including EP, have said that we might look to make a trade if the Smith signing didn't work out. And if you want to get excited about a journeyman swingman from the D-league, be my guest. But, for me, he's in the Solomon Jones category of potential aquistions.

Think he's comparing him to a stop gap measure only...and the trade I'm sure he's talking about will be something at the dead line...geez, light'n up.

I cant really find much info about Jermaine Taylor. His stats seem average at best. Has this guy been lighting up the D-league or anything? If he is signed hope he can contribute.

Williams has very low value he hardly gets off the bench in Houston and the team is looking to move some pieces we give them some cap space for future moves.

Yes he have to free Twill he has so much potential, the guy really wants to play badly and is a above average defender. The guy is a point forward like Andre Iguodala, he just needs a opputunity just like Corey Brewer & J Lin.

have you ever watched Jermaine Taylor play? He would actually be a great fit for our bench and is a very good player for not being signed.
