but cassell never had chronic knee injuries like finley. finley is a totally different player.

Please no Azubuike, he is way too injury prone. I'd go with CP3's former teammate Julian Wright or the former Clipp Bobby Simmons.

dont u think that having gomes as our only viable option at backup sf is something to be very concerned about? lol. i kid. but yeah we do need a more reliable option at backup sf. i wouldnt want finley here. last time he was in the nba his shot disappeared along with his knees.

I'd go with Azubuike if he's healthy and looked good. Finley is old and worn out, Anderson is just blah, Simmons had 1 good year on an avg Clippers team ( which isn't saying much ) and the rest are blah.

If Finley can still hit free throws down the stretch in playoff series, I say we get him. That is what we are gonna miss the most with Chauncey out.

I like finely but he is probably too old. I dont think it is a good fit with this clipper roster. Might not be fast enough anymore. To defend the wing defenders. ???

Here is a Finley Spurs mix.

Booby Simmons I liked him when he was with the Clippers. He got the most improved player in 2005 with the LAC. Neved did much after. Got a big contract and got lazy. He has an upside if motivated. Has talent. Doesnt always give it his all. Maybe he hungy. If he is a very good plyer when motivated.

Here is Booby in the D-league where is averaging like 19.5 Points a Game...

Jermaine Taylor 6-4 Gaurd. I dont think this is a fit for the Clippers.

Averaged about 5.4 Points a game with Kings in abou 12.5 mins a game.

Finley = Most battle-tested, very clutch, but definitely lost a step.

Simmons = Physical Defender, very good mid-range, decent from 3

Either of these guys would be better than Gomes, I'm happy either way. It depends on what our priorities are. It seems like the big problem with Gomes is that he does not produce at all, so if we're just looking for scoring, Simmons will score more I think.

Kelenna Azubuike

averaged 14.4 points in GSW is 6-5 and a young Player. Has a great upside. Has been injured and could be a steal...

I think Clippers should give him a shot if healthy.

Alan Andrson 6-6 Forward/guard played mostly in europe is 27. Played for bobcat as a rookie. This kid can play. He might actually shock some people. He can defend, shoot, athletic and can jump and dunk. You should check out the highlight on this guy. He might surprise clipper fans and become a fan favorite. He can light it up. He would have to build some confidence in the NBA. But he can play...

6-6 Gaurd in the D-League. Smart Player not athletic one of the top scorers in the D-League averaging close to 20 points a game in the d-League. Not sure how it would work. It might be a huge gamble. I dont know enough about him..

Elijah Millsap

Julian Wright never seems to have understood that the problems he’s faced in his NBA career are not the work of the bogeyman. He’s not the victim of a conspiracy to keep him off the floor. He struggles with basic flow on both sides of the ball and has never been able to apply his considerable athleticism in a meaningful way.

A fresh start in Toronto was supposed to mean that for him. It was a chance to get out of the doghouse in New Orleans and start over. But instead, he’s vanished from sight again. And on Friday, he wound up disappearing on purpose.

6-8 Small forward who avreage less than 4 pts a game in his young career. Lazy player. I dont think he will work hard enough..

Strong Dunker, Athlete, Nice dunker, Not much of a shooter. CP3 ex-teamate from the Hornets.

Maybe CP3 knows something about this guy we dont.

One of CP3's Buddys...

They might give him the 10 day contract....

6-8 Small Forward can play big...

If Healthy I see them taking Kelenna Azubuike or Julian Wright friend of CP3. Booby Simmons might be nice to see in a Clipper Uniform again. What do you guys think?

Swing man Elijah Millsap is the younger brother of the Jazz’s Paul Millsap, and had dominated the NBA D-League until Green started cutting into his numbers of late. But Millsap’s got an NBA frame and, thanks to a combination of speed and size, an NBA game

I am sorry, but Azubuike was a player with starter quality before he broke. If he is healthy and get back to 80% of his previous self, he could blow our minds. He shoots, has long range, BLOCKS SHOTS, can rebound. I'd take him at 80% over Gomes any day as he basically can't do any of that!

one thing we have to keep in mind is whoever we do sign will probably be based on the type of basketball fitness they have. personally i like Azabuike, simmons or anderson. but who knows who is in nba basketball shape.

I personally would love to see Anderson make it. I liked him when playing for Barcelona a couple of years ago, but the question is if he has what it takes to make it in the NBA. In Europe he was pretty dominant, but that's another story.

Azubuike or Wright would most likely prove to be better than Gomes. Azubuike would be my choice.

Azubuike, Finley, and Simmons is my choice. Finley for playoff experience and could sometime hit some clutch shots. Even if he is too old, he could still play. I'm hoping for Azubuike to resecurrect his career here and came back to his form and same with Bobby Simmons. We'll see from there.

Azubuike. Don't like either of the oldies, particularly Findley who will be 39 in a few weeks and hasn't been in the NBA since 09/10...ugh.
