In the first big move of the year, it looks like the Bucks have traded Andrew Bogut to Golden State for Monta Ellis.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

http://www.jsonline.com/sports/bucks/

Personally,

I am glad to see this guy leave the division. He always kills the Clippers!

It looks like Bucks are giving up Jackson and Bogut in exchange for Udoh, Ellis and Kwame Brown

I think this deal is awful for both teams.

I don't picture Ellis and Jennings working together in the back court.

The Warriors then pair their injury prone guard with an injury prone center.

this is great news. Livingston and Delfino are expendable. Pick up the phone Olshey!!!

Bad trade for the Warriors in my opinion. They gave up their best player in Monta and a player with potential in Udoh for an injury prone center in Bogut and an unpredictable player in S-Jax.

Hard to think that's the best deal they could have got for Monta.

Agree. And what Mitch said. Olshey should definitely call the Bucks to ask about Delfino and/or Livingston.

True but I think Jennings will be traded next year. He wants to be in a big market.

Why would the Ws do this? Udoh is up and coming and Kwame is an expiring contract? Bogut is injury proned and SJax is crazy. Plus throwing Monta in too.

They were playing well over their past couple games as well. Only 3 games back of the last playoff spot. I feel like this completely drops GS out of the playoff hunt and into bottom of lottery. On the flip side I think the Bucks turn into a playoff team in the east. Going into tonight they are hanging onto the 8th seed.

Anyway GS tries to swap bogut for Howard? Supposedly their owner is in love with Howard.

Oh man

I've been wanting delfino for the longest time now. Since he's a FA this offseason, and with monta in the mix, no way he'd wanna stay.

Ws wanted DJ. Who here would have traded DJ and Caron for Monta, Udoh, and Kwame's expiring? Or even DJ for Monta and Udoh.

I know I would!

Agree with most of you that it seems to be a dumb trade for all involved, but at least it might make a few more dominos fall. The whole Dwight/Otis thing is starting to piss me off because it's affecting everything else. Wish they'd just let him walk to the nets... it's the only way they don't get Shaq'd again.

I know that but I was just thinking about how much Ws gave up to get an injured Bogut and SJax. Call me crazy but Bogut to me is equal to Kaman. Maybe better bball IQ but they are about the same to me.

Monta is a really good player and Udoh is a young asset.

Anyways, I'm getting off this topic. Who cares what GSW does.

What will the Clips do?????

^Nothing. Team is not built for a title right now so why trade away young assets. Bledsoe will have much more appeal around draft time in a thin PG class

Really bad trade for Warriors (as usual). They trade away a top ten scorer for someone who's injured more than 50% of every season. Not to mention that he WILL NOT RETURN THIS SEASON why trade for him now? I have no idea what they were thinking...

So when did GSW re-hire Chris Mullin?

Milwaukee made out like bandits! Anyone who doesn't think Monta will work well with Jennings see the last 2+ years when he's been paired with Steph Curry. Milwaukee gets rid of its biggest crutch ( Bogut ) and brings in a guy that could probably vault them from a border 8 seed to a 6 or 7 seed.

Christ almighty I'd buy 300$ in Bucks gear if they take out the Heat in the playoffs. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST. And yes, get Livingston and/or Delfino right now.

What other teams do adjust what moves are available to the Clippers. Duh!

Golden State trading for an injured Bogut says they're aiming for lottery and are giving up for the season. Which means they likely will buy out or trade away for nothing Stephen Jackson.

As a last resort I say Jackson is a solid option for the Clipps. He's no Ray Allen, but if we can get Jackson for Gomes and Cook I'll take the upgrade at the 2 all day!

This is the most blatant tank job I've ever seen. Utah owns their first round pick if it's 7th or lower. These guys trade their best player for a guy who's out for the season and a disgruntled 33year old making 9mil per year. Wow! GSW is shooting for the lottery and more than likely they're going to reach the goal. How's that playoffs guarantee going MarkJackson?

On the flip side, love seeing MIL get Monta and Udoh. Would be hilarious if they make the playoffs and the Knicks end up in the lottery!

Nah, the biggest tank job ever still goes to the '02 Cavs.

The bigger story here is that an upstart Clipper killer in Ekpe Udoh is leaving the West. Thank God. And while I doubt the Bucks will really win much beyond sneaking into a low seed, that team will be fun to watch.

Report is Warriors want to flip S Jax, imo so they can be a lottery team, they tanking... Gomes, Cook & Foye for S Jax and Filler?

^^^no to SJax. He's owed $10M next year. That's too much $ when you still have to sign Blake to his extension, CP3, and Chauncey. Also, we need a starting SG if Foye bolts and Mo opts out.

if this means we can get delfino for a tpe then im very happy. id prefer ilyasova, cuz hes a big man who can score and rebound, but since he is balling they wont trade him now. livingston or delfino works fine for us.

The Warriors are only a few games out of a playoff spot and they decide to tank now? Doesn't make any sense but oh well.

Warriors probably realize Steph Curry is either going to get injured again, or they will want to shut him down. They'd do little damage in the playoffs if they even made it. It's not tanking, it's being realistic.

If Bogut comes back healthy, and they can shut Curry down here and there and get him back to 100%, + whatever player they pick in the lottery, my thinking is they believe they can contend for a playoff spot next year when teams don't play 5 games a week and players get raped by injuries left and right.

I still think they completely undersold Monta Ellis, I mean wtf, if he hated it there so much and they wanted to deal him why didn't we make a move for him, or someone else try to acquire him and offer something better? I have my doubts Bogut remains healthy and is the player they are hoping to get but who the hell knows. The only thing that would make any sense of this deal, is if they somehow landed Chris Kaman as well. Curry + Kaman & Bogut is a nice team to build around ( pending Kaman stays ).

Don't understand why everyone is saying the bucks won this trade. Golden State is obviously trying to tank now and get a nice pick in the upcoming draft, which happens to be very deep. Sure, the bucks could make the playoffs and they probably will, but there is no way they're contenders. Monta isn't going to change much and does Ekpe really have that much potential?

Golden State is going to have to lose every single game from here on out to get the big man they want. Granted it's a stacked draft, Perry Jones III isn't going to be a great PF in this league, he's more of a 3. The top 3 big men could very well all end up going 1,2 and 3 in the draft ( Anthony Davis, Jared Sullinger, Andre Drummond ). I'd be shocked if any of those 3 made it out of the top 5, which is where Golden State will not be drafting.

They don't have to draft a big man. Anyway, Thomas Robinson, Tyler Zeller, Cody Zeller and others can still be had.

Did you forget that the clippers landed Kyrie Irving to the Cavs with pur #1 pick. Why the Clippers did not protect the top 3 spots as part of the trade is amzing to me. That is why I never really liked the Barron Davis Trade. Only becasue the Clippers did not protect it in case it landed as a top 3 pick and with are luck it was the #1 pick that landed the Cavs Kyrie Irving. Imagine if we had owned that pick we could now be talking about trading Kyrie Irving. Since hopefully the Clips would have still landed CP3.. So its very possible they land a top 5 pick...

Obviously, Irving would have gone in the CP3 trade. We'd probably be left with a banged-up EJ on the bench at best.

Pretty much. In fact, I think the Hornets would have asked for both Irving and EJ. We'd be stuck with Aminu. Confused
