| When Maggette opts out, the Clips can offer him a better deal than the competition as in one year longer on the deal. If Corey really want to fly out of town, a sign and trade might benefit both the Clips and Corey. So Mike Miller, who knows. Agent Zero, anyone? |

If Memphis really wanted a Corey for Miller deal to happen, they would have done it at the trade deadline. Corey's salary this summer will be much higher making a more difficult sign-and-trade. So I think the time is past on that one. (Unless the Clippers want to accept a salary dump from Memphis).
Also, I don't think Memphis is interested in Corey since they have Rudy Gay.
Not sure what else we can offer to Memphis. |

Memphis wants cap space and young players and the Clippers don't have any young players to give up for Mike Miller. If we could talk Corey into a sign and trade, I would be more interested in doing it with Chicago for Ben Gordon.
As for Gilbert Arenas, I wouldn't want damaged goods who would downgraded from all star to all star potential |

| Ben Gordon would be nice especially for the price and better for the team but I'm afraid Sterling's gonna pony up and keep Corey. A few games ago, Corey made an assist worthy of Nash. He tried to crash the boards and found the lane closed. While in the air he made a pass and because he was in the air he set a screen. Was that luck,an act of God or could he do it a lot more often if he wanted to? |

I hope you're here to discuss basketball, not ridicule us for being Clippers fans. Because trust me, we've heard it all. |

| Mike Miller would be a great move for the Clips, but I doubt Memphis would want Maggette if he makes more than Miller... unless the include a draft pick |

mike miller would be such a great player on the clippers. a great post presence with brand and kaman with deadly shooting from miller.
i think that with miller we wouldn't need to sign a really good point. as long as brevin doesn't turn the ball over, which he doesn't often, and get the ball in the post to brand or kaman, when they get double teamed they would be able to kick it to miller for a three or for a drive to the bucket. its that easy.... |

| Mike is a guy we should look at. Although I'd prefer Ellis obviously, if we cant seem to pry him or Calderon away from their teams, Miller would be a decent short-term solution. We would want to get a young SG either this draft or next year to take over down the road. |

| Maybe we could trade mobley for miller. I think should help them out considering they traded gasol for beans. But we do need someone to shoot the three. And to all laker fans who come to this site please dont come here to talk trash i do not go to laker forums to do that.Have some respect. |

| From the replies I have read, it seems good candidates would be Mike Miller or even Gilbert Arenas. Gilbert wants to be on what he thinks would be the best team possible. I don't want to offend you guys or anything, but I don't think he has a very good first impression on the team from this season if he was looking away from Washington so that would at least to me, seem very unlikely. Miller could be a great addition but as some say, he would be more short term than the Clippers should be looking for. I think they should if they have the opportunity to draft someone like O.J. Mayo. Anyways, Memphis is all about their cap space so any deal involving Maggette seems unlikely again. I am clueless on this situation, so I don't have any suggestions myself... |

Mike Miller, Gilbert Arenas, Baron Davis, Ben Gordon or BUST!
If Sterling doesn't find a way to get ONE of them here, I am forming a car pool and a
riot squad so we can go to his house and form a coup! |

| Well Mike Miller is too one dimensional .. he can shoot.. ok, what else can he do? Defense - nope try again? Make others better - nope try again, force people to double him - nope try again.. So he is ruled out. My choice (if we couldnt get OJ Mayo) is to go after Gilbert or Baron!!!! We missed out on getting Gilbert last time he was a free agent, now he see's that his team can when without him, its time for him to come to LA, where we can really show him we appreciate him. Or Baron could come back home to LA. WE cant loose with either one of these choices. |

Good point, also were looking for someone Explosive if anything so we gotta consider other options before we tend to this. |

ive got to disagree.
he isn't bad at defense, he is a good character, he has a great shot, and can dash to the bucket.
plus he is a proven 3 point shooter that the clippers need this coming season when brand and kaman clog up the middle |

| Yeah, I gotta agree with kylem4711... Miller is no one trick pony. First off, he is a legit 2 OR 3, he does play decent defense, and his numbers overall are pretty freakin' good. In fact comparing them to say, Corey's last year, Miller out performed him in everything except free throw percentage and ppg. Other than those two categories Miller shot better from the field (.502 to .458) from three (.432 to .384) had more assists, fewer turnovers and even pulled more boards! I almost hate to say this, but other than the extra 1.3 mil that he makes per year, (which Corey will do his best to negate come contract time), and especially considering his versatility, Miller might well be a better fit for the Clippers than Maggette. Just a thought. And yeah, Azibuike would've been sweet, he's a player. C'est la vie though, there'll be other diamonds in the rough, we've just gotta find 'em. |
