Honestly, its a valid point. The Barea foul last season, the GSW three pointer a couple weeks ago. Who does stuff like that? And then there's his off the court incidents, like parking in handicap spots and whatnot. I'm not sure dude is all there.

In honor of their great center Chamberlain, the Lakers have decided to wilt at the end of this season.

If Kobe doesn't play against NOH, the Lakers could lose 3 in a row. That's a huge losing streak towards a pivotal time of the season.

^it can be a start of a prolonged losing streak for them. after that they have the following games: @spurs, nuggets, mavs and spurs. it can be a tough stretch for the flakers. lets go hornets. i hope EJ plays tomorrow night.

^^^ Not so fast there. Ramona Shelbourne just tweeted that Gordon is out tonight with a bad back. No Jack, no Gordon = pretty much no chance for NO, even with Kobe out.

Thanks for the help, EJ. SMH.

Eric Gordon you are a POS!!! Wow made through 3 whole games before taking another one off. What a shocking coincidence it's against the Lakers, are they too tough for you?!? Wait for an easier game so you can get your points more easily? Wouldn't want any of the teams with cap space to watch you choke against a good team like you normally do.

Dude is WEAK!!! Anybody that pays him this summer is out of their minds!

And this other POS Monty Williams. You sit Ariza for the game because you want to get Aminu some minutes. Tank City. What a coincidence it's against the Lakers, make sure they win so it hurts the Clips. Sorry your GM has no balls, you're a terrible coach, Stern runs you team, and Olshey robbed you. That's why your team sucks and the Clips are a contender. Try to make the fix even more obvious next time.

Ha. espn ob the lakers win. the lakers beat noh without kobe bryant (mason). NO MENTION WHATSOEVER THAT JACK NOR GORDON PLAYED FOR NOH.I dont even know if ariza played. what parts of game i caugh didnt c him.

Also, it was funny to me at time. the announcer for lakers when giving out the clips score....the clippers are at memphis and memphis is beating them down.....badly. mind u this was when the clips were making their comeback

Lakers play the Spurs without Kobe. If we play like we are capable, we can beat OKC. We just need to play with confidence and effort.

Doing what they always do. I count them out every year no matter their record for this very reason because they just plain suck. No matter who they play in the first round their is a team can upset them because they just dont have it anymore, they are done and have been for a couple years. People continue to say "never count them out" among other cliches but NO...count them out. I do and I have yet to be wrong.

We need a 2 game swing from us and the Lakers. right now we are realistically speaking, 1 1/2 behind the Lakers because they hold the tie breaker.

Based on Memphis playing an unbelievably easy schedule to end the year, I see them potentially leapfrogging both LA teams into the 3rd seed.

Leaving us with a first round hallway series.

If Duncan steps it up in the playoffs, then no you can't count them out. With TD playing like his young days, along with tthe deep bench and Tony/manu, they can take it all this year. It all depends on Duncan.

They have 0 chance. Dont put up excuses for them. Same thing can be said for our team, Blake is young, we have a deep bench, and we have Chris Paul. Why cant we? The Spurs have 0 Chance and people just say they do because its the cliche thing to do. They really have 0 chance. I dont think anyone is afraid of them. I wouldnt be surprised if they got eliminated in the first round but id be reeeally surprised if they made it to the 2nd

As much as I'd love to knock those guys out, I don't want to play them in the first round.

  1. It'll be close to a 7 game home court advantage for the Lakers (their fans be all over the stadium for our home games and we won't have nearly the same presence at theirs).

  2. They are one of the worst matchups in the league for us. Two polished 7footers and a big superstar SG. Blake will have trouble scoring and stopping those guys. DJ is simply outclassed against them. Kobe forces us to use Nick Young a lot more than we want to and use Mo, EB, Foye a lot less than we want to. Simmons would have to play a bunch most likely. Kobe's presence takes away a lot of our scoring punch from the guard spots because we simply won't be able to afford to put Mo/Foye on Kobe defensively.

2nd round I'll take anybody just would rather play a Memphis/Dallas/Houston in the first round.

By the way, I agree with you. Memphis probably doesn't lose another game all year. They probably end up the 3rd seed.

^ Agree with everything but the Memphis part. They're 2 games (plus the tiebreaker) behind the lakers.

Memphis going 8-0 plus lakers losing 3 of 7 = unlikely.

Clippers going 7-0 plus lakers losing 2 of 7 = unlikely, but slightly less so.

I agree. The Spurs have to many flaws to come out of the West and there's some teams they just flat out don't match up well with. The could get past some of the lower seeded teams -- and maybe even us -- but I don't think they could beat the Lakers, OKC or Memphis even. They lack size and athleticism and its going to cost them in the playoffs.

No chance they can compete with lakers' bigs, but hopefully they can hurt them on the break.

Difference between those other years when people would use the cliches and like that is that Duncan was absent those years. He was a non factor. This year, he's playing like young Timmy, especially lately. That's the key to San Antonio's PO success. That's why I think they can win it all this year.

Denver had so many chances to pull this one out. Most of them played like bums and let the lakers walk away with this after a terrible performance. I feel sorry for Harrington and Afflalo, but that team does not deserve to be in the playoffs. I'm rooting for PHX to knock them out (as long as they don't beat us in doing so).

i GUARANTEE you that bynum and kobe get into a rift during the playoffs. its obviously bynum's team right now, but when kobe comes back there's gonna be some chemistry issues.
