I'm 10x's the NBA guru that EP is and the fact is, Memphis would probably spank us in 6 games if we managed to bring it to 6 against them. We need Dallas to win and Memphis to lose. On top of that we need to keep winning, at leas 2 wins in every 3 games from here on out.

Memphis, San Antonio, Portland and the Lakers are tough matchups for us and that's in order. I believe we can win 2 games against SA in a 7 game series, and we'd win those 2 with ease, however we'd probably get smoked in the other 4. Memphis, would be one of the toughest matchups we could garner in the 1st round of the playoffs pending we make it.

I fully believe we can roll OKC, so I am almost hoping for an 8 seed. Their bench is easily the 2nd worst in the NBA outside of the Lakers. James Harden plays like 35 MPG and is NOT a 6th man. OKC knows they have 0 bench and they had to put an amazing starter on the bench in order to not look so bad. Why Tefo Sefolosha starts over him is beyond reasoning. It's Durant, Westbrook and Harden. They platoon the PF/C spot which we can do and better with a guy that's a near bonafied superstar at PF, a former #1 pick and NBA Finals vet in K-Mart, Reggie and DJ > Kendrick Perkins, Ibaka and Collison by about 10 miles.

Bynum seems to try hard against poor teams and against us because he doesn't want the Clipper to overthrow the Lakers in LA. And unless we lock down Kobe, or he has another horrific series which to mean is a 4 in 10 chance the Lakers are a formidable foe with teh addition of Sessions.

We need Dallas to quit the crap and win games. We can pwn the nuts off of Dallas in a 7 game series. ODom is garbage now, Kidd's always hurt, Marion and Carter have slumps and injuries, West is oft injured and Mahinmi is a foul machine. We can take Dallas, and if were pegged at a 4 seed, our chances against Dallas are higher than taking on Memphis if their a 5 seed. Otherwise we have to shoot for a 3 seed and win our division and hope Dallas loses so we can play them in round 1. Otherwise were stuck with Denver whose getting better and is extremely deep at every position.

Look, I've been a Clipper fan since the Mid 90s and have always been a big fan of the old time greats like Harper, Manning, Outlaw, Richardson etc. and I'd honestly be pumped for a playoff berth. But I think we need at least a round 2 playoff entrance to not call this season a disappointment. Getting further than that is a pure bonus. And I think Griffin and more importantly CP3 would agree taking it to a round 2 playoff berth and going at least 6 games in round 2 is a massive PLUS.

If we can keep the majority of our guys together for next year, I see nothing less than a Western Conference Finals berth for our team, and I see 0 reason why CP3 and Blake wouldn't sign long-term deals with the club.

We have to get out of round 1folks is my pure argument. If you think otherwise lemme know. VDN isn't the best coach but I think with him and our current roster we can get there pending a giant collapse. We need to get to round 2 for CP3, Griffin and more importantly the fan base and the critics. We'd be a team that could potentially upset Chicago or Miami if we were in the East, but were not and we've got crappy matchups in the West. Take Miami and Chicago and put them in the West and they would be a 2-5 seed at best, getting spanked by the Spurs day in and day out.

I have been a Clipper Fan since 1989

OKC would kill us I would not want to see them until the WCF.

Memphis plays horrible against the Clippers. I think the Clippers can easily beat the following teams Memphis, Dallas, Houston or UTAH

The team that the Clips can beat much easier than the Lakers and OKC are the Spurs.

So if I had a choice between the 3 I would rather us get the Spurs. We can beat them easily at Staples and maybe we can steal one on the road.

Then I would love to face the Lakers or OkC

The lakers would be great in the WCF for a true battle this would be tuff. This would be like a finals matchup.

OKC was simple when we had Billups. Otherwise they are by far the best team in the West. Spurs had the best record in the west last year an lost in the 1st round. The spurs are beatable.

Playing the Lakers or OKC in the WCF would be a tiff matchup and possibly the Clippers will be able to beat them.

Miami and Chicago would still be 1 and 2 in the west. They are the best teams in the NBA.

Clippers vs Chicago

Chicago would hands down beat the Clips.

Clippers vs Miami

I think the Clips win the title if this were to happen.

i think people overrate memphis and how they match up against us. we are evenly matched except for the pg matchup and the bench. cp3 outclasses conley jr, and our bench is much better than the grizzlies bench. tony allen is a great defender, but we have too many weapons for them to contain. they do have length on us, but our guard play is what would carry us over the grizzlies in 6 games. i think the spurs and okc would give us problems since we have to face them to start in san antonio and in oklahoma city. i think we can beat memphis, the flakers, dallas, houston and utah.

Suddenly everyone on this board needs to flash their merits? I've been a fan for over a decade, for the first time in my life I can confidently say that the Clippers are a team that nobody wants in their bracket.

I am happy to play any team except the Spurs, Thunder & Mavs.. Those teams are scary... I'd actually rather play the Thunder and Spur before the Mavs just because of one word, "DIRK"! that guy will take over a series like nothing.. you guys see what he did to the Heat, and that was against the Best D in the League... the mavs shouldnt be over looked haha

I definitely think if we get deep into round2 I will call it a successful season. Just want to stack playoff experience with our young team. But what about a possible Stan Van Gundy for next year? SVG is a major upgrade over VDG. He definitely knows his x's and o's. But is he what it takes to get to Championship Level?

Based on 13'-15' x10' line mechanics, we'll play 6 games and done.

Easy answer a new coach so I'll hope we can get out of the first round and get some playoff experience for our young team and then next year I see our lineup looking like:

5;D. Jordan,K. Mart(he has his house in L A and Billups will be back)

4;B.Griffin,T Thompkins

3;C Butler,(Draft Pick#54 Kris Joseph,Darius Miller,William Bufford,Hollis Thompson;basically a 3 that can shoot with length)

2;C.Billups,Nick Young(I think he'll sign a one year contract like he did with the Wiz last year)

1;C.Paul;E.Bledsoe

I would also consider trading Bledsoe for Jeremy Lamb in the draft, and sign and trade Mo Williams,or amnesty him and we can flip him for any big man(or bring Sofoklis for 1mil)

Our roster will be this:

Paul-Foye-Butler-Griffin-Jordan

Bledsoe-Billups (4 his experience)-Young (as a 6th man)-Martin-Evans

plus Thompkins, Leslie and our 2nd round pick (a 3 i hope) and of course another 7 footer for the min vet,

Randy Foye has been great for us lately but unfortunately we have to many under sized guards so I dont see him staying.

yes i know he is undersize, but i like him, i think he can be a solid back up off the bench, depends how much money he ask for.

What do we need? Simple. A new coach.

But since that's not an option, here's the standings I'd like to see:

Spurs

OKC

LAL

LAC

Dallas

Memphis

Don't care

Don't care

Lakers have to play Memphis then OKC, worst matchups possible for them, love to see them get eliminated in the 1st round. Clips can beat Dallas but will then have to face the team that dominates them every year. However, as Spurs team is aging and postseason play starts to wear them down, I like our chances better now than previous years and CP3 will be in beast mode. If all goes our way, OKC vs LAC WCF and I like our chances against the Thunder.

From a game play standpoint, continue to play good D, continue ball movement, and most importantly, improve our adjustments in the game goddamnit. Vinny's going to get outcoached by the likes of Pop and other vet coaches, we'll need players to adjust on the fly to help make up for that.
