Wow- Smush Parker. According to this LA Times article, the Clippers plan on signing him. One good thing I think he brings would be defense. He's a bigger guard and could be called upon to guard some of the stronger points out there.
---
The Clippers are interested in signing veteran point guard Smush Parker, waived recently by the Miami Heat, for the rest of the season, Clippers sources said.
Parker, 26, played in only nine games with the Heat this season and had been on paid leave since a Nov. 27 incident with a Miami valet parking attendant.
After a long standoff, he was waived Monday.
"We are hoping for something good to happen, but I can't comment on anything further than that," his agent, Billy Ceisler, said.
The two parties have had discussions, but as of Tuesday no deal had been reached.
Parker would probably be signed to the prorated veteran's minimum salary of $1.2 million.
Before signing with Miami, Parker played two seasons with the Lakers, starting during much of his time there and averaging 11.3 points.
The Clippers have targeted another NBA veteran point guard since buying out Sam Cassell's contract last month and after Ronald "Flip" Murray passed them over to sign with the Indiana Pacers.

| Hopefully, after all that has happened to him recently, he will come in and be a good citizen. He probably only has one more chance to prove himself before ending up permanently in Europe. He is athletic and can play if his head is screwed on straight. But if he doesn't work out, nothing ventured nothing gained. |

NOOOOOOO, please don't say the CLIPPERS are stooping this low to sign this loser! He blew it against the LAKERS, and Miami already gave him a chance.......
He needs to be teamed up with Kwame.
With about 20 games left, there would be NO point to sign this guy, and at this point we will look desperate and like a losing stock for no reason.
No thanks, I'll pass |

I think he's playing overseas + he's only 6'. I think the Clippers are looking for a bigger guard for defense. |

| Did Andre Barrett get signed to another 10 day contract? Probably not because Knight is back. I'd rather see if Barrett can play than sign Smush Parker who has proven he cant hold a starting PG position. |
