| Coach must have seen something that he likes, otherwise he could have brought in another player to take a look at. Instead, they sign Faz for the balance of the season. He is not fast nor a high fly act. But he seems to be solid down low and can hit the long bomb as well. With Kaman, Davis, and Brand likely here to be our bigs next year, that leaves a open roster spot for Faz. Since we are likely to draft guards, I think he just may be on our roster at the start of the season. He does have a history of being a big time scorer, so why not. Also, with all the other big money we need to spend, we can get Faz on the cheap. What say you, Clipper Nation. |

I would pass up on him. I am not sold on his hustle on defense. If that is the case, keep Powell ( half joking). I like his energy but he lacks timing IMHO.
I say keep the core and start by getting draft picks and use Cassell's money to find a good veteran (PG or C). |

| The jury is till out on that I think, but like CJ I would pass on him. We need a tougher player to man the paint to backup Kaman. Paul Davis should be back, and although he's capable, I'm not sure if he would be enough of a difference maker. I definitely think he's got more game than Powell though. So maybe cut Powell loose, and if we don't get Beasley or Rose/Bayless/Mayo, go for a monster like Thabeet or even Brook Lopez. |

It's hard to imagine the psyche of someone so bored that they have to go and badmouth a downtrodden team and us fans. |

lol no worries. I know we'll be a contender again (hopefully next season if all goes well) and we'll cease to see posts like that. |

| Speaking of being a contender again... is there any truth to the Agent Zero rumors? CK, Brand, Thornton, Gilbert, and maybe Bayless or Westbrook? Not a bad lineup, not bad at all. With the availability Corey and Sam's money... who knows? Arenas is an offensive force and might enjoy a return to LA, but comes with some baggage, and an injury shadow. Is he to risky for us? What does the Clipper nation think of that lineup? |

| I would LOVE that lineup, it's just that he'll probably ask for a max contract which I'm not sure he deserves at this point. Monta Ellis is going to be a restricted free agent- I'd rather go with him instead and use the extra money to sign/re-sign other players. Though Monta is probably going to cost $11+ mil/year. |

There's no doubt Agent Zero would make the team better, but is he worth the money (that is the real question). If he's gonna rape us so that we dont have any room left under the cap, I'm not for getting him. Seems like he's gonna want a lot (just a hunch that I think everyone agrees with).
As far as Fazekas, I think he should be given an opportunity to compete for a deep bench spot. Obviously with our injuries we need him and Powell. I think he has more offensive skills than Powell, but Powell is definitely a tougher cat. If we get some good guards in here and re-sign Elton, we could use Powell and Fazekas to round out our bench. If we'd need to sign another player who's better to fill an injury, we can always let one of them go because they arent gonna hurt us financially at all. |

Fazekas might have an outside shot but other than that, he has nothing else. He can't jump, he can't muscle inside, doesn't have any speed. If I didn't know any better, I might mistake him for Thomas if it wasn't for his name.
In my opinion, I think we have to restructure the bench. Both Fazekas & Powell are very expendable. They might fill a seat at the end of the bench but as far as adding depth, I don't see it. I am sure we can do better than both of them....just a thought. At the very least, we should keep an ear and eye open to see if we can luck out with some quality players at a cheap price. Obviously we can't rebuild but we can at the very least give a new face to our bench. This club needs a breath of fresh air come next season. |

| We are forgetting that Davis will be back nxt yr. That will make Fazekas not needed. Powell is tough inside and can improve with a bit of work. |

| Highly doubt it. Fazekas isn't needed with Kaman, Williams, and Davis. |

| Williams is not under contract next season, and though we are short handed we do not seem to use him very much, so I say he is gone. I think we need a 7' back up center for Kaman so when he gets hurts or just needs a blow we can stay big. I would actually bring in Jenali McCoy from the LA Defenders. He filled in nicely for Denver this year and is shooting 70% from the field with 10PPG and 7RPG in moderate minutes. He is a legit back up center and we haven't had one in awhile. Hell, the Lakers have four 7' centers. Davis or Faz can back up Brand. We probably need at least 5 Bigs. |

I agree. Don't know much about McCoy but he sounds good and cheap. With some of the elite teams reverting back to "old school" (using bigs again), we need to think about making that change as well. Faz & Powell are expendable and Williams has just been wasting away on the bench. Lets dump what we have and start looking for new fresh faces to give this team a new attitude. Sometimes a small change makes all the difference in the world. |
