Repped High Quality Post

The grizzlies are listed as "THREATENED". After gms 3 &4 they will be listed as "ENDANGERED". When we win the series. They will be listed as "EXTINCT". Sorry but these bears must go. At least for this current season. Lol. Smile

I wouldn't feel that great if we just barely got by in Game 3, I think it has to be by double digits to help our confidence going into Game 4.

It depends on the production of players like Nick Young, Deandre Jordan, Simmons, Foye, Kenyon Martin, and Mo Williams. We already kow that Blake, and CP3 will put up (at the very least) 17-20 points each, but the determining factor will be whether the rest of the team contributes. That was the difference in game one..Nick Young chipped in 19 points. Now Ive said before that Nick wont do that again, but a solid 10 points from him and solide defense will be what we need from him. DJ needs to also put up 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Mo needs to give us 14 points (very possible). Simmons and Foye should give us like 6 points a piece. If these guys give us that production we kow that CP3 and Blake can combine for at least 40. That's going to be the bottom line .

I was looking at the box score for both games and in game 1 Butler gave us 12, Williams gave us 9, Young gave us 19, Bledsoe gave us 9, and Evans gave us 7...Each of these players got, or barely missed double figures. In fact there seemd to have been more sharing of the ball that night (Griffin and PAul didnt even break the 20 point level, which is good cuz most guys are contributing). Contrast that to game 2: Griffin gets 22, PAul gets 29, Williams and Young get 11 a piece, but Evans, Kenyon MArtin, and Jordan were quiet. Game 2 was more indicative of how this team has been playing all year, which is a heavy reliance on Paul and Griffin (and that my friends is what loses games for us). If we are to win, everyone needs to have a solid effort, just like game 1. I hope Vinny Del Negro sees the same thing

We just can't let them punk us. It's easy to say we need to be more physical with them but all their players are much bigger than ours at each position so that makes things a little tough. It sucks that we're already known for our flopping because this series would be a great series for us to really show them what LA is all about (acting).

This is the game where we have to establish our dominance. Staples has been waiting for Playoff basketball for along time (In red and Blue at least) and the fans will be hungry and LOUD. We have to hope the players match that intensity right out of the gate. I feel like if we can start off hot and build a decent lead we will not relinquish it. Let's go guys!!

I'm nervous after watching two teams dominate on the road last night. But I have to remember OKC and Miami are two of the best teams in the league playing 2 overmatched opponents.

I think we're better than Memphis. I hope our team feels that way too.

I know we shot 56% in Game 2 and lost, but the reason I'm not bummed about that is because we didn't really play our game. We're at our best when we take care of the ball and are at least competitive with the rebounds. We're better when CP3 accounts for more points from assists than from his own scoring. We need double digit assists from Paul! An active Blake Griffin in the paint. That means rebounding, forcing TO's, hitting those dunks, layups and hooks...oh and one of those great, momentum generating highlight plays! We usually need a 3rd player (Foye, Mo, Young) to be hot or at least a couple to be efficient offensively.

And to reiterate, we are one of the best teams in the NBA at taking care of the ball. It's a tall order against one of the best teams in the NBA at FORCING turnovers. But if any team can take care of the ball against Memphis, it's the Clippers. We have to limit our TO's. And with Paul's league leading steals, EB's pesky defense, heck even BG (2.5 steals a game so far!), we should force some TO's of our own. Plus with Reggie Evans' toughness, DJ and K-Mart's shotblocking, we can really defend against these guys.

Send a message? The message needs to be "we are better than you and we're going to prove it RIGHT NOW!"

Rather than 'making a statement', the Clips should be asking a question... like "Can we get a f*cking call, please?"

If the refs call these games evenly, we go back to Memphis 3-1.

Memphis got most of the calls in Memphis (as it should be) and now we should get those calls @ home.

I dont care if we get home court calls, i just want it to be at fair, if we can get our fair share of calls, we will be just fine.

Is Blake saying "we're gonna make a statement" the same as guaranteeing a win? It's either that or he's referring to being more physical.

^^^ I don't think he intended to guarantee a win(s). He's (generally) too media savvy for that kind of thing. I think he was referring to standing up to Memphis' physical play.

I have faith in tomorrow. If this were last year's Clips or the years before that or the years before that, we would be toast. We have floor leaders now. We have bench leaders now. I hope they watch d they same films EKKER showed us and saw how they were getting beaten and not fouled so they can return the favor. DJ doens't seem to do much anyhow,,may as well mix it up with Gasol.

im ready to bet anything that bg32 will be the player of the game. for some reason, he's only physical and productive when the games are at home.

Clips should take notes of how to make statement games from the Miami Heat right now.

Guys I just got 2 tics sec PR15 for $240 total! So pumped!! Can't believe tomorrow is a cheaper ticket than a Laker or Heat game! Whatever I'm in. Taking a vow of silence from this point until I get there so I can save the voice for referee abuse/blatant and inappropriate taunting of the Griz players.

In the playoffs, I don't think there's any such thing as inappropriate. Please don't censor yourself!

Oh, and pour anything 80 proof or better on those vocal chords to keep them good and 'lubricated'.

Have fun, man!

Why? A foul is a foul at home or away.

Statement? We lost on turnovers Period. An untimely TO can cause a 4 point swing. Cut them to our usual number. That will be a statement. How many did CP3 have? Mo' has to get going. We got nothing from Foye and little from Young. Get two of the three and it's a blow out

Are there Bears in Tennessee at all? OR anymore? When Vancouver moved to Memphis they should have changed the name, just like the Lakers shouldn't be the Lakers; where the hell are all the lakes? Jazz should have been renamed as well, isn't Jazz music outlawed in Utah?

They should change their name to the Memphis Spare Ribs, or the Memphis Blues.
