I know we have discussed this 100000000000000 times on here and its been beaten with a stick but can anyone make worst substitutions and adjustments out there than VDN????

In the 3rd, DJ finally wakes up, hits 2 fts, blocks a shot, then gets that monster dunk and VDN rewards him by sending him to the bench for the rest of the game. Also in the 3rd, we post up Mike Conley with Randy Foye and it actually works for two possessions, then guess what? We never go back to it again?

In the 4th Bledsoe was playing amazing basketball, and ok he did have that one turnover but VDN pulls him for the rest of the night.

VDN clap clap clap I don't know how you do it.

He also pulled Evans in the 4th. This was exactly the moment we started to give up a small lead we had.

I rate VDN quite highly actually however i dont understand why evans was pulled from the game when foye stepped out from the rebound off the free throw. Explain the logic there?

BG is a world class player, but just sometimes you've got to let the 2nd team do it for you, BG and CP3 lost this game for us, as they were not 100% fit, and yes we should look at then for losing as they take up about 40mil of our salary cap.

Fans have a right to a game where players are at 100%. BG and CP3 clearly werent tonight and our 2nd unit should have been given more opportunity.

^^ Wow...

anyways, yeaa VDN messed up bad tonight. Leaving nick young in to guard Rudy Gay hasn't been a good idea for not a single moment of this series but especially not in the 4th quarter. Nick Young is one of my favorite players but he's at a serious disadvantage when guarding Gay. on the other hand, we have Caron Butler who has done an unbelievable job of covering Rudy Gay the entire series, but for some reason, VDN decided to leave Young on Gay rather than Bring Caron Butler in to do the amazing job that he'd been doing all along. Rudy Gay ends up hitting a long jumper over NY, and we lose our lead. Only after we've already lost our lead, does he decide to put caron back in. Only after we've lost our lead does he decide to call a time out. Only after we've lost our lead, does he realize that he has his second unit going up against the Memphis Grizzlies Starting unit. Tonight was a shame. A damn shame.

For every moment Rudy Gay is on the floor, Caron Butler should be right there with him. Keep Bledsoe on Conley, and paul on Allen. Reggie on Randolph, Griffin on Gasol. the Only place we're getting beat in that line up is with Griffin and Gasol. Gasol will do well against Griffin but he can't carry the team by himself. After that, our second Unit destroys theirs.

Also we don't set enough off ball screens or Run any sort of play that goes beyond something used by my Junior division rec center coach when i was 15. Watching us try to run plays versus watching the Grizzlies Running plays is like looking at a "how to" and "how not to" tutorial for playing basketball. It's pathetic.

Memphis bigs were eating DJ alive. Sure DJ got a block and fast reak dunk when reggie was waiting to come in, but that doesn't hide the fact hat his defense was consistently atrocious.

Bledsoe sat for so long because the guy was huffing and puffing on the bench. He was as gassed as gassed gets (it's what happens when someone plays hard)

Well said and this is exactly my sentiment. I have said it a million times and it still bothers me. He probably put Blake in because he thought he could score, BUT WHAT GOOD IS OFFENSE if you want stop the other team?

From the moment Blake went back in the game the lead dwindled and got larger for the Grizzlies. Why? Because Zach and Gasol know that they can have a field day with Blake out there and NO REGGIE EVANS.

Bledsoe and Evans had the biggest impact in the 4th, got us a lead, and he takes them out?

Truly amazing. I understand Bledsoe looked tired but cmon...sometimes you gotta risk it and if the end result is a loss atleast you can say you did it with the group that was playing the best at the time.

Vinny knows we are not resigning him next season, so he took a nice fat payout by the NBA and Grizz to shave points and setup this Clipper team to an embarrassing 1st round exit. Unbelievable. **** YOU VINNY AND **** THE CORRUPT NBA! Go 2 hell bitches! Sorry fir my language, but I cannot control it. Twisted Evil

The worst thing about Vinny's coaching is how DUMB our offense is. We have a good offensive roster. Blake, Cp3, Foye, Young, Mo, even bledsoe. Anyway, we don't run ANY SINGLE FRICCKING PLAY. NEVER. They look like 4 fat guys playing b-ball in their backyard while cp3 handles it and tries to make some magic happen. It's friccking annoying. If we had a little bit more of offensive movement, well-drawn plays, picks, screens, etc, we wouldn't have had such a horrible offensive game like we had last night. Paul and Blake's injuries were so prejudicial because we live on their individual plays.

We all know VDN is a horrible coach it is no secret around the league but are players let us down last game as well. In my opinion i would like to see less mo and more young and his natural position 2 guard. Play simmons some at the three that gives us better rebounding and defensive toughness. If mo isnt hitting his shots he is worthless cause they are asking him to guard the 2 spot and he is to undersized.
