Playing as we speak- Clippers leading 22-18 after a driving-and-1 by Maggette. Nice to see Corey back. So far so good.

Maggette with the game winning shot!!! Great win. I was a bit worried when we kept missing shots near the end, but we pulled it off. We're kinda far from the top 6 in the west...but the two remaining playoff spots are within a few games reach. Great game by Brand again, Cassell scored a lot. Garnett had a tremendous rebounding effort with 17 i think, but Ricky Davis, Trenton Hassell and Mark Blount's points werent enough to overcome the Clips. We CAN beat the Cavaliers at home on Saturday!!! GO CLIPS !!!!

Just wondering if anyone else thinks the person we should be looking to trade is Cuttino Mobley instead of Corey Maggette? If they can get something for Mobley, they can plug Corey into the starting shooting guard spot, which would eliminate Corey's displeasure about not being a starter. I think that Maggette has more to offer than Cat, despite Corey's defensive problems. I don't think there's much of a market for Mobley, but I'd at least give it a shot.

And Livingston is still not impressing me at all! I'd try to package Mobley and Livingston for some quality player (Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, etc.). Like JamFan said in a recent reply, the Clippers can get by with just about any point guard since they don't run. Bringing the ball up the court and passing it inside doesn't take much talent. If Livingston isn't going to score for us, then I think that another point guard would be an upgrade actually.

One thing good (and sometimes bad) about Corey is his decisiveness- he won't hesitate to shoot it or take it to the basket in your face. He caught that pass out of the lane and just drained the 18 ft jumper w/ 4 seconds left. Terrific game by Corey- what a great way to come back from an injury- 21 points, 8 boards, 4 assists, and the game winner. And there we were, blasting the guy for not sitting behind the bench while he was injured- shame on us! Wink There was this one play he had late in the 3rd quarter that was kind of funny (at least to me)- he was on a fast break with Livingston running along with him, he got the ball and got stripped and the ball went off of him. Then you see Livingston staring at Maggette and lifting his hands, palms facing up like "Why didn't you pass it?"

Speaking of Livingston- yeah he missed a ton of shots from all over the place. Plus on fast breaks he kept giving up the ball way too early- one time Brand got a charge because of that and the other time Tim Thomas had to make a nifty behind the back pass to Brand for a baby-jumper. Shaun needs to keep going down the middle then give up the ball so the guys running with him don't have to dribble. His D was pretty good though- he along with pretty much the rest of the team played really hard on defense.

I thought we could do better against a team like Minnesota. But a wins and road -- especially on the road.

Anyways, I'm not sure many teams are interesting in taking Mobley.

Those scouts do their homework just as well as we do. And Mobley, while a solid player just spark much wow interest. Plus the Clippers signed him to a pretty hefty contract. A package with Livingston might get some interest, but I don't know who's biting. However, I'm still against trading Livingston, especially if another quality point guard isn't quickly available. Sam looked great tonight, but he can't shoulder the load himself. Someone, like Nelson or Deron William would be great, but I don't know what other piece you could attach with them.

If we just bring Mobley off the bench, he should do enough. He is a very streaky shooter. I'd rather have Q-ross or Sam Cassell at SG. Seems like in a group of 4 games: Mobley will be very hot one of those games, dead one of those games, and here and there the other two. I doubt anyone would give up a very good player for Mobley, no matter if we package Livingston. I hope they keep on pounding this year and dont worry about trading anyone until the year is done. they then have a decision to make on both Livingston and Maggette. Corey continues to give a big effort and does a lot of our scoring now that Brand is being hounded. He wants out, but continues to play well until his opportunity to leave is upon him. I have a lot of respect for that. I hope they can wait til the offseason. We can still make the playoffs if we start winning at least 2 of 3 games.

Exactly...Mobley will get hot in another game. When he wasnt on tonight, Cassell, Brand and Maggette stepped up. Thats what a team does.

Good win...One of those games where you love the final score...Simply we were more lucky than them.At least it's obvious that he have not given up this season and we are ready to fight for the PO...As Cassell says we must play like hungry dogs in the road...Anyone knows something about Kamans injury?

I'm just wondering where is smeyelee to celebrate Maggette's final basket??Smile

haha yeah, Maggette's game winning shot reminds me of the one he had against Shaq's Miami Heat two years ago. Only that was on the three point line with even less time to spare. Anyone remember that?

Oh yeah- if I remember correctly he was falling down or out of bounds as he shot that one. I remember Shaq derided it as "luck". Smile
