I have just watched the victory of Memphis over UCLA...I'm sorry for the UCLA fans which post in the forum but Memphis has been better... I've had the opportunity to see some lottery pick players and I'm a little dissapointed with Love and Collison, specialy Collison who has been awful. Westbrook I think is more a combo guard than a PG so mmmm. And Rose had what I guess the Americans call: a typical day in the office ...is right this expression?? He played well but nothing else.
I would write some more lines but it's late here and the bed is calling me... |

You got it right. That is how we say it here.
Yea, UCLA just didn't have it tonight. |

I'm bummed - I used to work at UCLA so I am a fan. (my alma mater UCSB is not much of a tournament regular )
As much as I'd like it, I don't think any Bruins will be drafted by LAC at #6. |

I'm indifferent because I'm from USC . But yeah Memphis was just too athletic overall for UCLA. Kevin Love was mostly a non-factor- he missed those two wide open 3's which really could've helped UCLA. And he showed that he could have trouble against big strong athletic front line players (who are pretty commonplace in the NBA). So now I don't envision the Clippers or anyone drafting him top 10.
Collison had a tough time vs. the very strong and talented Derrick Rose. But let's face it- many point guards in the NBA would have similar difficulties vs. such a quick and powerful player. It's amazing how Rose made two of the top point guards in college in Augustine and Collison look vastly inferior.
How about Douglas-Roberts? That guy definitely has game. he has size and has a nice mid-range and driving game. I really don't see him dropping past the first round now. Westbrook looked good- very quick and athletic but he's a undersized and didn't show much of an outside game, but he's definitely first round material also.
As for the other game- Brandon Rush looked good- a big 2 guard with long arms. Too bad he's not a better shooter. That Kansas freshman Cole Aldrich did really well too- he probably won't come out till next year though. Tyler Hansbrough looks to me like a more skilled Mark Madsen. He, like Love, wasn't much of a factor for his team as well. I was really surprised at how undisciplined North Carolina looked- jacking up crazy one-on-one shots like that. Ty Lawson did just a horrible job running his team. |

| That was some game huh? That was amazing how Kansas could come back like that. Memphis really choked at the free throw line, and then Chalmers hit that huge 3 to tie it. But again I'm just so impressed by the play of Rose. That guy is a triple-double waiting to happen. It might well be a toss-up now between he and Beasley for the #1 pick. 6% baby, 6%! |
