Besides attempt to oust Michael Jordan as the owner? All this talk about trading the 2nd pick in the draft has me intrigued. Here's the top suitors in no order...

Portland picks 6th and 11th.

Cleveland picks 4th, 24th ( or 23rd ) 33 and 34.

Houston at 12, 16 and 18.

Bobcats need help more than most people in war-torn countries in Africa. If they blow this pick and this guy doesn't perform, they are set up to be the worst team in the NBA again next year and would truly be on pace to mimic the Clippers of the mid/late 90's and most of the 2000's.

As the great Chuck Barkley once said, Jordan is the greatest player of all time but he has no clue what he's doing as an owner / GM etc.

Charlotte continues to try to force teams to take on Tyrus Thomas' horrid contract for the #2 pick. Similar to what Philly was trying to do a couple of years back when they took Evan Turner and wanted people to take Brand off their hands. Brand gets paid more and obviously is a better player, and did help them a lot this past season. Thomas, who has loads of potential that nobody will ever see unless he plays on a Middle school team against 12 year olds.

Maybe you ask Portland for both of their picks and surrender 1 or 2 future 2nd rounders in return. With picks 6 and 11 Dion Waiters will probably be there, Andre Drummond and others. They'd easily get 2 starters and would begin the climb out of the cellar.

Nabbing the #4 pick from Cleveland allows them to take one of the 4 "Superstar" potential players in this draft. Beal, Kidd-Gilchrist, Barnes and Anthony Davis ( tho Davis is not slipping past 1 ). Cleveland surely won't surrender their other 1st rounder and I doubt they give up both 2nd round picks. But picking 4th and say 33rd or 34th ( as in picks 2 or 3 in round 2 ) isn't a horrible thing. Draymond Green who many projected to go to the Bobcats in mock drafts months ago will still be there. And statistically he's one of the best players in the draft only behind Anthony Davis.

Houston has great position in the draft to move up into the top 10 while still keeping a 1st rounder. Pick 12 would surely be in the deal and my guess is pick 18 would be the other pick Houston gives up.

Still a high chance of PJ3, Drummond or Waiters to be available at 12. All 3 would greatly help the 'Cats and with pick 18, Meyers Leonard may be available.

There was a rumor the Thunder really love Beal but the Bobcats would want James Harden straight up for the pick. Honestly, the Thunder are going to be pinching penny's with Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka and Harden eating up loads of salary. Something has to give there, and I know which 2 players I'd keep.

Clearly the Bobcats were bummed and robbed that they didn't get the 1st pick in the draft. The draft lottery to me, and a lot of other people seems fixed. Hornets lose CP3, NBA sells the team for cheap, awards them with an All-Star game in 2 years and they miraculously get the #1 pick in the draft which looks like a future Multi-time all-star. Similar to Cleveland losing Lebron James.

Conspiracy theories aside, more draft picks is what this team needs, even a lottery pick + a great player works well. I'm honestly shocked the Lakers haven't offered up Pau Gasol or Andrew Bynum for the #2 pick in the draft.
