I wouldn't mind if the Clippers let Nick Young and Chauncey Billups go if they acquired OJ Mayo. I think Mayo is in a bad fit in Memphis and would be perfect as our starting SG. In fact, I was hoping the Clippers moved up to draft Mayo that year instead of settling for Gordon. Mayo is more talented than Gordon and just needs the right environment. CP3, Griffin, Mayo would be a nice big-3.

oj above gordon?? while he is injured, gordon can actually make open shots and doesnt shoot 25 times to score 20 points. he is a solid player but i think we would be better off with young. comparing him to gordon is unfair because when healthy EJ>>>mayo.

Mayo is not even the 3rd best player on the team we beat twice on their own floor in the playoffs. He is not, and will never be, part of ANY "big 3".

Gordon > Mayo. Mayo was overhyped and has not lived up to what he is capable of. Fact is he'll slowly start fading into the blackness as years go on. He'll never be a 20+ ppg scorer ( unless he's on a horrid team and there are a ton of injuries ). He's a great shooter, but sadly it doesn't look like he'll be the player that USC recruited and the player that he was projected to be in the pros.

And as I said, Indiana is going to go hard for him and they actually have cap room to sign him and pay him big money. Memphis also could try to re-sign him. Memphis has wanted to trade him.

Mayo is weak. He's great on paper, but then.........ummmm............you still have to play the games...

Mayo choked in the playoffs missing around 25 3s, and you want him on OUR TEAM? Gordon is way better besides the fact he's made of paper!

EJ only knows one speed, and that's........well, COMPLETELY overboard. He's like a stunt man......slash......crash test dummy.....slash.....NBA SG. Not a good combo unless you like hanging out in street clothes during the games. He's too wreckless and physical for his own good. He'll never have any longevity playing the way he does. It's a shame too. He's a baller when he's healthy...
