Here it goes guys the truth comes out. There is a possibility that CP3 will not resign with the Clippers! Sad News!

http://m.nydailynews.com/1.1110250

Also here is a nice piece from Bleachers On how we could keep CP3.

These are things I have been saying all along.

Like getting Dwight and changing the Coach. So here read it!

There is no way this happens. They are going to match Jeremy Lin and they have Jason Kidd. They wont have the cap space to think about signing him, plus I would hope the Clippers dont help via sign and trade.

Blake stayed and next up is CP3, this is a different Clippers team than ever before.

Last week he was gonna sign with ATL alongside Howard, right?

"OOOOH, if we don't fire Vinny, CP3's gonna leave us!!!"

Carmelo Anthony is one of CP's best friends and there's a lot mystique to playing in NY, so of course Paul would be hesitant to rule it out. But that's a far cry from saying its likely to happen. If we improve again next season and he has another big year, I like our chances of resigning him.

Here is the best way to Keep CP3.

These are the things I have kept saying.

Go after D12. At least try show CP3 your serious to contend. It wouldn't hurt to try.

Get rid of Vinny and let CP3 choose the coach.

For all of you who doubted the things I have been trying to tell u guys. It is important to try to understand why I say them.

Plz don't use the excuse this is another Bleachers Report and a 14 yr old kid wrote it.

I have read enough from the BR to know they have written a lot of credible info.

And this is definetly one of them.

Okay, we've been through this a million times. Either Paul leaves or he doesn't but let's not worry about that till next summer. The clippers have the most money to offer him. There might be a better team out there interested in him, but no way he turns down 5 years 108 Million for a slightly better chance at forming a "super team" to win it all (at that point winning the ring isnt as impressive).

However, if Paul refuses to play with us and wanted to play for NY. The clippers could ask for Shumpert/Chandler. (Shump/Bledsoe backcourt defensively is niiiiice).

But realistically? I dont see a clear cut option that's better for Paul. Im not gonna lose any sleep over this.

One more thing, the clippers have basically let Paul play GM so far and given him complete freedom. If that's not good enough for CP3, then GOOD DAY SIR.

^ The last option is also for us to possibly entertain a trade for CP3. Like I had posted in another topic. We must deal with the Reality. I believe if the Clippers don't get a 3rd superstar or get rid of Vinny. We will lose CP3. Some of You guys have been doubting the things I say. We need start looking at more options. I would hate to lose CP3. No I don't want to trade him. But I would hate to lose him for nothing. So if we can't save him. We need to start preparing so we don't get nothing in return.

LOL This makes me laugh. Considering how good we are and how much he's going to leave on the table (around $30M) IF he signs with NYK in the next offseason... I can bet my life he will sign that extension with us. It would be different if we were a team not going anywhere but hey, if D-Will signed with the Nets and not his hometown Mavs, then CP3 will definitely stay. Forget all that talk about D-Will saying it's not about the money.

Espn radio reported that when they asked CP about going to NY. He said he would be interested. Then they went and asked Carmelo and he smiled like he knew something.

Then when they asked CP3 what changes were needed by the Clippers. He stated " I need to get better."

They said he tried to avoid the question rather than answer it.

ESPN Radio said that when a Superstar avoids a question. There is a good chance he wants to leave.

They also said the Clipper fans always get mad at them for there comments. But these were serious comments made by CP3 and not them.

They are just reporting it.

wow clippersam u are a stubborn one. we have one year to see what we the clips do before dealing with the cp3 extension. again, if it got to the point of being close to losing him, we can always sign and trade cp3 and get some pieces in return. so we are in the driver seat in this situation. cp3 would be stupid to leave for less money than what we can offer. so there is a high likelihood he will stay with us. even if we wanted to go after howard we dont have the pieces to acquire him. thats being realistic.

The Knicks already have Kidd and are going to match the Rockets offer to Lin.But if they were to go for CP3 it probably would depend on how both teams do this season. He is good friends with Carmelo and Chandler but Clippers have been trying to do what they can to make CP3 happy. He wanted the Clippers to sign Chancey and Crawford and they did and Blake agreed to sign his extension with the Clippers. Also Clippers are basically letting him run the team.I don't think he would leave but you never know.

^^^ @ClipperSam-Deron Williams avoided a lot of questions about whether he planned to extend with Brooklyn and he still did it. So I'm not putting too much stock in what the geniuses at ESPN Radio say it means when a star deflects a question.

Repped High Quality Post

whats funny in all of this is the fact that the article states CP3 has not ruled out playing in NY but in the article, it never mentions it. I guess keeping your options open was translated to that. I guess The Bobcats can write the same article then.

Oh well... If he leaves, then the coward leaves. There is absolutely ZERO loyalty in sports, so what's new? Lets play next season and then if he leaves, we BURN our PAUL Jerseys. LOL...Until then, lets see what this team can do! If he stays then we buy new ones to upgrade! LMFAO!

How did you see Carmelo make the sly "CP3-is-going-to-come-play-in-New-York" smile if it was on the radio?

Are you bored? Is that why you're always starting threads like this?

It's like you're asking people to come on here and yell at you.

He just wants the 5 year 108 mill contract over the 3 year 60 mill extension. Which is understandable, better financial stability.

He's not going anywhere, but anything is possible. In that case he'll give us the opportunity to sign and trade him, instead of losing him for nothing.

I hope you guys are right and CP3 resigns with us next year. But IMO the Clippers have not done enough to completely convince CP3. Hopefully we are not done signing Players and the Clips put the right pieces to surround him. To give him a true shot at the Title. I believe that is the only way CP3 will truly be willing and wanting to sign his upcoming contract. The money will play a factor. But so will the final results. I think anything less than a WCF appearance. Will make CP3 highly consider leaving. I would like to know how far do u guys think will get Next year. With all the changes in the league and also with our current roster. My belief as of right now. A 6-7 game loss in the 2nd round. What do u guys think. I feel our chances were better this past season prior to Billips getting hurt. I had felt we had a real chance to reach the finals. So far I do not have the same feeling about the upcoming season. Maybe I am wrong. But it is my gut feeling.

Will get to the 2nd round or conference finals but will do it because CP3 and Billups will be calling the shots on the floor and NOT VDN. Besides remember CP3 wanted Billups, and Crawford so to him these moves were good. Also if we can sign a 5 that can rebound, defend, and set good screens(Turiaf,Steitsma) and a SF/Sg that can defend and rebound(Pietrus,Brewer) somehow we won't have any holes on this roster

First of all Like the rest of u. I don't want CP3 going anywhere but staying.

2nd I heard the news as I was driving to the bank.

Most importantly unlike a few of you I am more realistic about the Clippers.

I love the Clippers and am dreaming of a title.

After 25yrs of hoping it gets a little old.

I am not down for the excuses.

What I posted on here are just the facts of a Comment made by CP3. That was reported to the Media.

I am sure that we will be hearing about CP3 and NY this upcoming season.

Just the Same way we basically heard about D12 to the Nets or Dwill to the Mavericks.

We all assume the best.

But the possibly of him leaving is there.

My gut feeling says he will resign with the Clippers.

But than again I am just a Clipper fan!

So what good does it do? If we all know! The best shot we have with this team is to lose in WCF. Why not put a team that we all know can make it the Finals. Just like everyone believed OKC and Miami would meet in the finals. Why can't we put together a team like that. Just like the Lakers are trying to do.

1) I dont buy the crap about Cap Space. Haven't you guys seen enough to know that when a Star Player is available the good teams find a way to make it happen. Even if it means tearing there team apart. Look at the Lakers they have the highest payroll. They still found a way to land Nash and possibly bring D12. Mavericks and Rockets have emptied there teams. NY also does not care about payroll. So you guys need to stop talking about teams having no cap. Its BS. The possibility of CP3 resigning with us is much greater than NY not creating space for CP3ً.

And for the rest Miami did not win crap until the Big 3 and for the record neither did we till CP3 came to the Clippers.

The luxury tax is going to be moving towards THREE AND A HALF TIMES the amount you are over, so teams DO care about the cap.

Miami won a title in '06... saying they "didn't win crap until the big 3" is FALSE. Like almost everything else you post.

Hey Sam, remember what we were talking about last night? Remember what I said about the cap and luxury tax threshold?

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA

The NBA's salary cap for the 2012-'13 season will be $58M, and the luxury tax level, $70.3M, the NBA says.

That makes us over the cap without Billups and Crawford. Next time, hit me up with your next argument. I'll let you know if it passes the smell test.

wink

Hey Sam, remember what we were talking about last night? Remember what I said about the cap and luxury tax threshold?

Don't be silly, Joe. Why would one restrict himself with facts, when he can just conceive his own reality and call it "truth"?

Actually you need to re read what I wrote. It's funny how you are trying to twist it around. I was the one that mentioned the Cap. This currently makes us below the Cap. Didn't you post the team total salary yourself.

Bro I used to respect your comments.

But you are surely losing it.

Anyone that wants can go read it.

It's there in Black and White.

Come on I thought we had no flippers on our team!

Man are u real?

Well, looks like I'm guilty of shunning facts myself. I guess Pincus had some I was reluctant to see. Embarassed

All kinds of talk goes on when the All Stars all get together for hoops. Most of the time it is just talk. And the player love to pull the strings of the sports writers. But MCMB said it best. We will be able to offer CP3 the most money for the longest period of time. And CP3 is heading into his prime. It is not a time to get anything other than the MAX. So, he is signing with the Clips unless we do something extremely stupid to screw this team up. BTW they should rename Bleacher Report......Silly City! Or something else that describes the constant nonsense that goes on over there. Blogs written by little children. Geez

Plz Cleepers try not to comment unless you have actually read what I wrote. We all know when it comes to ClipperSam you love to put your Blinders on. It's ok!

Really I kind of got use to it.

Your comments really don't bother me as much anymore.

I just figured out. How u like to play favoritism rather than actually really read what the person wrote.

The sad facts I actually read what u have to say.

I have been impreesed by a few of them.

Hopefully you can begin seeing some of things I write about 2.

It would be the right start for both of us.

But of course you can handle things the way u wish.

I will continue to read everyone's thoughts than comment after and not vice Versa.

So do as u wish brother. Because basically your the one that knows it all.

ClipperSam should be banned from creating new threads, he never backs up his argument nor does he give a credible source. (bleacherreport doesn't count)
