The clippers should try hard to get a new pg. Livingston sucks and may never come back. Clippers should get Baron davis, Arenas or Kirk Hinrich.
People say that Davis gets hurt alot but hes been ok for the last 2 seasons. Maggette wont stay but Thomas, livingston, knight and Dunlevy need to go.

They should find a way to have the following starting line up
    c-Kaman
    pf-Brand
    sf-Thorton
    sb-Gordon or Mike miller
    pg- Hinrich
    coach van gundy

    Welcome aboard Bo!

IMO Davis and Arenas are great veterans. But they will each be looking for large deals (over $13 mil). To afford that, the Clipps would have to let significant guys go (Brand and Magette) ... such that they'd be in major rebuilding mode. What's the point of bringing in a $13M vet when the rest of the roster gives you no chance at making the POs?

The Clippers should look at FA's in the $7 to $10 mil range and keep the current core. They'll need all that plus a strong bench; otherwise they're just and also-ran in the West.

to get a good player, they would have to let maggette go. not brand and maggette.

i say let maggette go anyway. or trade him for calderon. or for mike miller, or for someone on the bulls. gordon, hinrich or deng.

Welcome bo! Livingston actually played well and I certainly won't count him out on a successfully comeback. It would be nice to get Baron, but first he has to opt out which doesn't seem likely considering how much $ he has on the table the upcoming season w/ GS.

Barons great, and Hinrich's good, but Arenas was made to play in LA. The Arenas-Brand combination would be one of the best tandems in the league no doubt. Arenas can score at will and create off the dribble. Sign and trade Maggete, 2nd round pick, and maybe Livingston to get him. Draft Gordon or Westbrook and we are looking pretty solid:

    PG: Gordon/Westbrook
    SG: Arenas
    SF: Thornton
    PF: Brand
    C: Kaman

------ I think that looks pretty formidable and could definitley sell some Clip tickets at Staples. Only problem is the Wizards would probably ask for more.
