(DAVID,,move this to where you think it belongs. I put it here because as we know CP3 is on the list.) The dust is nearly settled on the summer's hectic free agency period that saw one unexpected move after another. With nearly every roster spot accounted for (until any possible trades shake things up), it's never too early to start thinking about next year. The crop of free agents in 2013 is a deep one and there are quality players at....

I don't know, I kinda want the best perimeter defender in the league on my team. But you're probably right, defense doesn't matter. ....

"...considering the fact that Paul is far from a lock to remain in Clipper Land." Being purely objective without any Clipper bias, I'd have to disagree with this quote. What facts are there to substantiate he's FAR from being a lock? If anything, I believe he's more of a "lock" than someone who is thinking of signing elsewhere next offseason. I'm not saying his re-signing with the Clips is guaranteed but there is ZERO evidence he's even thinking about playing elsewhere....

Agreed. If CP3 walks you don't go after another point gaurd... I'd go after James Harden lock up the SG position... The reason why you don't invest in another PG if CP walks is because there's this young player with a lot of potential who wouldn't be getting anything near to what Ellis would be making next year... I think his name is Eric Bledsoe!!!!!!! ....

id go after harden and allen if cp3 were to walk. i agree with inventor, we have ebled. he can take the reigns if cp3 walks. there will be a dropoff without a doubt, but not as steep as some think. while cp3 is a 10 on a one to ten rating scale, ebled is close to 7.75 and with more time he will end up at 8.5 before its all said and done. so thats what id do if....

I would give Harden something close to a Max if not a Max if Chris leaves. Bledsoe and Harden would be sick together. ....

idk if harden is a max player but maybe a 5 year 70 to 75 million dollar contract might work.

I get what you're saying, but you have to overpay so that OKC won't match. They also have to choose between Ibaka and Harden. So it would be up to the front office to decide that stuff. ....

@cleepers, it was an espn article. notorious clippers haters and flaker nuthuggers outside of chris broussard. so f** what they think. @phaded21, i agree. we may have to over pay. but they are a small market team so idk if they will match harden. they already have 2 max players in durant and westbrook. a 5 year/75 million or 80 million dollar deal might be too much for them to pay out. ....

This team has been built by CP3 and built to win for the next few years if not more. They have extended contracts for a number of players. Even though VDN isn't the greatest coach, the players like him and i'm sure will play hard for him. It would have to be one hell of an amazing presentation by another team to take CP3 away from Hollywood. He's invested a lot in building this team to his liking. Doubt he....

There's no reason for him to start from scratch again, so he's staying!

Depending on the outcome of this season, if we made to WCF, I could see him staying.
