I was wondering if we should bring back Randy Foye if Randy willing to come back at vet's minimum. Randy fill the role admirably well and he's could be that extra shooter and a good defender that could be great for our team.

So would you bring Randy Foye back if he agree to come back in vet minimum?

Randy was good value at $4mil... Somebody will give him more than the minimum.

Yeah I think I'd bring him back. He'd definitely be a great part of the team, what's the reality of him actually agreeing to the vets minimum?

Where's his offer sheet??? LOL! He better take minimum wage with us and call it a day... Championship here we come!

We can only offer the vets minimum at this point, but notice, so far, he doesn't have a job. So he might come back. He shot 39% from the 3 last season, so he would tie Chauncey as the best outside shooter we have. His shooting percentages are actually a little bit better than Belinelli.

Having said that, if you have been watching Randy over the last couple of years, he seems to play better when starting. Coming off the bench, he seems to have a harder time getting things going.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him come back for vets minimum.... I think he would rather have that than nothing.

We have his Bird rights. So we can offer him anything we want.

I would offer him 2 million. That is likely better than what other teams are offering right now.

How about we use foye or kmart in sign and trade scenarios. We can sign them for 120 percent increase we aren't limited to just min in regards to out FA's.

Sounds like a good plan. I think he could get a little more, but he'd get to stay where he's been for the last couple of years and have an outside shot at a ring. A bigger factor might be his reduced role, but he's always lived up to his mantra "whatever coach needs from me". Class act.

For this to work other teams would have to want those players. Plus who is out there that is actually an upgrade?

Sign and trade sounds good in theory, but not easy to actually get a fair trade that all parties are happy with.

With Willie Green added, Foye no longer a possibility. Never though he was coming back any way...time to move on.

Among shooting guards, former Wolf Randy Foye is still out there. Best bets for him: Suns, Bucks or Bulls and Knicks by S-T w/ Clippers Twitter

Don't sign Randy Foye because he'll probably end up taking Bledsoe's minutes which none of us want, and even though he was huge for us in the regular season, man did he disapear in the postseason(granted it was his first)

We should just sign and trade Randy to another team so he can get more than the vet minimum and we can get a future pick or an asset.

We are really loaded in the backcourt now. We need a specialist that can shoot lights out. Maybe Adam Morrison will be that guy.

hoopshype was reporting that Foye s&t possibilities were w/NY, Bucks, Suns and Bulls.... outside of Robin Lopez, not too excited by any of the options, and w/Phoenix signing Shannon Brown, might not need a sg any longer ??

would gladly keep Foye and let him start until Chauncey is back to full health, and would pay him at least $4m, if not closer to five.... dude is every bit as good as either Chauncey or Jamal, and like them, can play some point if and when need be....

Foye will not returning. We probably get a 2nd rounder in return. Maybe a 1st rounder. Smile

Foye............Mr Inconsistent. One game against the hornets he goes 1-15, the next he hits a handful of 3's to help the clippers win the game. Nice guy, if he's back at the vet min Im fine with it, but anything more isn't really worth it.

I do like that he's a pretty good shooter from beyond the arc but he would be another undersized SG competing for minutes with Bledsoe. Like I've mentioned in a few other posts, Webster would be nice since he can play the 2/3, Pietrus plays solid defense, and even at 28 I think Al Thornton has potential to be a good player in the nba. He averaged 17 a game in his 2nd year, why hasn't anyone picked him up yet?

I'd like to see Foye in chicago or NY though.

Any pick for Foye would be great I think a 2nd round pick and sme cash would be great

. The 2nd round pick would be nice since Olshey traded away all of ours till 2016!!<I know 2nd round picks usually aren't worth much but till 2016 WTF

Oh and some cash for DTS so he can relax after spending so much money for players he probably has no idea about(we all know where he would spend that money being in Vegas and all Classy DTS best owner ever hahaha

^^ Hope everyone realises im being sarcastic about that last line.

Oh and we honestly probably have agood chance to get a decent player in a S&T with Kenyon for Brandon Rush/Carlos Delfino/Michael Pietrus/Robin Lopez/AustinDaye/Anthony Morrow <all these players could realy help, and who knows maybe that's why we haven't officially signed Willie Green(2 save a roster spot 4 a better deal maybe?)

^ We only have 12 players. We're not "saving roster spots" for anyone... league rules say you have to have at least 13. We'll have 14 on the books by opening night and save one for flexibility.

Heck yeah if Randy will take the vet min, but I doubt it. He can probably get double the $ elsewhere.

That's right well that's even better then,I guess last year was a crazy year considering we where getting a new player every week (CP3 Caron, then reggie,Kenyon,Bledsoe came back,Nick Young)and playing every day but man the rotations where still really bad,Vinny can't possibly do that again, especially now that were 10-12 deep(so far). This thread made me think of this past season when Vinny had Foye sit on the sidelines for a game(no health issues)and for really no reason,Next game Foye came back and just lit it up with three's.

*Also Randy Foye has the all time Clipper record with a career-high eight 3-pointers while scoring 28 points for the Clippers(April 2/2012)

I'm saddened that they'd let him sign a one year deal with another team for 2.5 mil. Chump change. He should have been resigned for that.

Can't believe we let our starting SG go to a sh!t team for 2.5mil. We need another guard anyway, is there any possible way we can do better than Foye with a trade exception or a vets minimum salary? Not possible. Why would they let him go!

Dude was a good player and always went balls out. Loved having him on our team. It's a big loss especially considering he signed for peanuts. Sucks.

Best of luck to Foye.Good teammate and player but we had no minutes for him anymore so it makes sense for him to leave. He played his best when he was a starter and now with Crawford and Billups he won't start for sure. And when Billups returns he will be a third string SG which probably turned him off to the idea of returning.Don't forget Travis Leslie might get more minutes this season which would take up all the minutes we have at the 2 and he is too small to play the 3 so there really isn't any room for him anymore.Glad we didn't try to sign him so that he can go to a team that can use him rather than him take Gomes spot on the bench.

The dude was never intentionally our starting shooting guard, only incidentally. I remember last year when we had that stint where we were kicking @ss, then EJ got injured. I kept thinking "If only EJ didn't get hurt, then we wouldn't have to play Foye so much." Then, this past year, the same thing happened with Billups, and the "If only's" continued. I know that he wasn't directly responsible for the injuries, but, in my mind, I never liked seeing him play since it reminded me WHY he was playing so much, injury. I started seeing him as a curse, just like Matt Barnes was for the Lakers.

Don't get me wrong, the kid CAN shoot, but CANNOT do so with any sort of reasonable consistency. This inconsistency coupled with his occasional Kaman-esque bonehead play is enough for me to be happy to see him walk.
