the Clippers should go back to San Diego.
Awww JLemm! You're always right on, but this time I gotta disagree. I love having them here in LA. I'd lose my decent seats if they moved.
But if I wasn't biased, I'd agree with you ... they would be better off.
I was stoked when they played some game at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim ... closer to my home |

I would also like to add that I believe the day will come when the Clippers will not be over shadowed by the Fakers in this town. It has already begun but we still need to be a little patient.
This town (L.A.) is based on trend and much like the Laker fans they are just following what's "TRENDY". The Clippers fans are quite the opposite if you leave out the 2005-2006 season. Our fans are loyal regardless. This is now starting to pay off for us. I have started to see "Angelinos " look at the team with respect, including the Laker fans.
I say there is enough room in this town for two teams and we happen to be one of them. If New York and Los Angeles can have two baseball teams .... I say let's make the Clippers own half of this town by way of respect.
San Diego was a great stepping stone for our team and it's part of the legacy but I would much rather see a cross town rival scenario than just another team coming to my town.
By the way Jlemmen43, I have noticed that the OG (S.D.) merchandise has made a comeback . I have seen actors wearing them to games in the past. I have seen regular fans wearing them. It's all good! |

| I agree- there's enough room for both teams in LA. Being from LA I just can't imagine the Clippers moving away- so I'm biased too. But yeah I remember it was pure determination when the team played at the Pond in the 92-93 playoffs (or was it 91-92). They had one of the best wins in Clipper history vs. the Jazz to tie the series at 2-all despite all the drama of the LA riots. I remember that Ralph Lawler's voice became hoarse at the end because it was just so amazingly exciting!!! |

| The Clipps can easily take LA if they win. Playoff 2 yrs ago they were the hot ticket. A business associate not a big BB fan scalped tickets for his wife and 3 kids. Fans showed up in 1/2 lakers 1/3 Clipps uniforms to LAC/LAL games. Clipps tickets are cheaper than LAL, more family friendly. The Clipps players seem decent guys unlike LAL's bete noir #8 who fans here are sick of. Last yr--Clipps go to playoffs (should have) LAL missed PO's (could have) there'd be a different story. Finish above LAL and/or beat them in the PO's and you'll see old school orange. The only way is to stay in LA |

To expand on TooHip's comments: since Shaq left town, the Clippers have won more regular season games and playoff games than the Lakers. So I agree another year or two of that kind of success and I think we'll see some serious shifts in reputation.
For those of you who don't live in LA, I am already seeing way more clipper gear and license plate frames being sported around town. So we are poised folks! |

| Personally i would love to see the clippers move to Anaheim and become the Los Angeles clippers of Anaheim. That would give LA and Anaheim equal sports teams (Ducks, Angels, Clippers vs. Kings, Dodgers, Lakers) and would make for a good southern California rivalry. |

| I love the fact that staple center is 15 min away from my house. I would not want the clips to move anywhere. In LA you just have to win for people to recognize you similar to the Angeles and ducks. |

| I live 15 minutes from Anaheim, so Anaheim would be ideal for me. I don't want any fights or anything from the next comment I am going to make, so just bear with it. I understand the Clippers are steadily on their rise and all, but the Lakers are on a totally different level at the minute. Kobe, Gasol, Bynum, Odom, Fisher and a deep bench. We will be looking good for a while whether if you want to hate the Lakers or me, you can't deny that. I just can't see the Clippers rising above the Lakers when we are this good. |

I don't remeber where here but I saw a post about since Shaq leaving the Clippers have a better record than the Lakers......
04-05 Clippers: 37-45
Lakers: 34-48
05-06 Clippers: 47-35
Lakers: 45-37
06-07 Clippers: 40-42
Lakers: 42-40
07-08 Clippers: 23-59
Lakers: 57-25
Total records since Shaq left:
Clippers: 147-181
Lakers: 178-150 |

| Not including the 08 season we did have a better overall record. We wont have as many championships anytime soon. But with two athletic big men there is no way you can count us out. And what would happen to lakers next year if Kobe were to go down. Anything can happen when were a better team no one expected New Orleans to make noise in the west but they did. |

| You have two athletic big men....so do we...actually probably 3. I am not counting anyone out from anything, there is always a chance, just use the Hawks and Celtics as an example. It will definitely be settled during the next season, hoping all of the Clippers will be rid of injuries. It will be interesting to see what the Clippers are going to do off-season and in the 08-09 season.... |
