Not sure if anyone posted it and I know there has been a lot of speculation regarding Dwight Howard's return but it looks like it really could be a while. They say he wont start exercise or even basketball drills until he's 100% and they say they have not yet even put a timetable on it. Anyway, heres the link!

Wow! Same day it's announced that Griffin is "ready to go".

lakers are in a pickle... dig themselves into a hole by Christmas, or rush him back shortly after the crowd starts booing home games in mid-November?

I'm not saying you two are saying you want the worst for Dwight Howard, but just incase I'm just going to say that would be wrong if that were the case. Dwight is a douche - yes we know that, but we should NEVER wish the worst for a player. Remember when Blake was injured in the playoffs against Memphis and the crowd was cheering? How terrible was that? We should want to beat a team when we and the opponent are at 100 percent.

^I hear you clip_joint, but ignorance is not bliss. Its nice to at least nice to know whats going on right next door. Especially when its bad news lol, and dkongos, im definitely not wishing anyone the worst but we can at least make the most of a "bad" situation. If nothing else its ammo to, at least momentarily, shoot flaker fans down when they wanna brag about thier "Big 4" roll

Why all these flakers threads? They are none of our concern. I never think about the flakers and their not so bright fans. You guy should do the same.

Dwight is a douche, but despite that I wish him success... success like...

All NBA 2nd team (DJ 1st team)

WC All-Star reserve (DJ starting)

2nd in NBA in Blks (behind DJ)

2nd in NBA in Rebs (behind DJ or Blake)

2nd leading Scorer (behind Blake)

2nd best record for his team (behind the Clippers)

Western conference finalist (Clippers in the finals)

Get the picture?

I don't really give a pig's arse either way about Howard, I want the Clippers to win. I've just gotten very pissy, constantly hearing doubt and questions about the Clippers' injury woes when the franchise player of the darlings of the sports media can't even run to catch a bus!

When Dallas took out Miami (after sweeping the lakers, incidentally), they had a TEAM - where Miami had thrown-together a bunch of stars.

Age and injury are going to be a part of this season, the same way they are every year. If we beat the lakers because Howard is out - we still beat them. If we beat them because Nash can only play 30mpg - we still beat them.

Every team risks injury, but some decide to hedge their bets by spreading money around on roster depth. If we beat the lakers with their starting lineup intact, great. But if one of their starters go down, I'm sure as hell not going to listen to their excuses or feel bad for them. They're already spending $30,000,000 more on their team than we are... what more advantage do they need?

Yup, back problems are the worst. Tracy McGrady would of easily had a much more successful career if only his back was healthier.

Dwights a center so his back is going to be taking an even bigger beating than Tmac so lets see how Mr Brokeback Coward holds up, a lot of Faker fans are counting their chickens a little too soon.

DO you guys think he'll return back to shape, I mean it was only a little gel disk not one of the serious actual bone disks!

Howard can burn in hell for all I care. Stick Steve Nash up his back side and call it the day!!

I hope lakers will get burned by trading someone as good as Bynum for D12 who won't come back from his injury!

Howard is doing pretty much everything besides doing 5-on-5. He's participating in 1-on-1, 2-on-2, 3-on-3, and all the other drills the Lakers are running. He'll be back in time for the regular season.

EDIT: Scratch that, Howard participated in 5-on-5 drills last night.

^ Pff!

Hasn't played a game, but he's "better than ever"?

Practice drills are not NBA games.

He'll be back starting night. He's not going to be better than ever by any means. This is serious and Laker fans think he's going to be the same dominate center he was. Granted he will still be really sick but he's not going to be as good as he used to be.

Now Jordan Hill's down with a herniated disc (same as Coward had).

Makes me glad the Clips invested in depth.

I hope Dwight Howard comes back at 100%. The Clippers beating the Lakers at full strength would be even better.

^ Take Coward's $19,000,000 out of the equation and the lakers are still at $81,000,000... $11,000,000 above us.

F*ck "full-strength"... we're already fighting with one hand tied.

If we beat them, we deserve it... even if the diva's in a wheelchair!

I'll be happy to beat their arses any which way, but I'm not going to pay any mind to excuses about injured players when they have a $100,000,000 roster.

Did they give US any excuses after we beat them 3 games straight, then lost the next 2 with our finals MVP sitting in a boot?

If they choose to invest $100,000,000 in old geezers with bad backs to start their games, while paying peanuts for the dogshit that constitutes their bench, then that's their problem, not ours.

This is like Edison vs. Microsoft circa 1984... lakers had a long head start and have a way bigger bankroll... they should be ashamed that we can even compete with them.
