http://www.nba.com/clippers/training-camp-2012-0 Grant Hill would be hard-pressed to be caught off guard on the basketball court. The 17-year veteran and two-time NCAA champion has been through practically any situation imaginable, so on Monday morning when Hill said the two most surprising players thus far in camp were youngsters Eric Bledsoe and DeAndre Jordan, the comment carried some weight. "I really like Bledsoe," Hill said following the first of two practices Monday. "I think his ability to attack the screen-and-roll. I think his decision making, we all know he's a great athlete, but he looks like he's put a lot of time in working on....

Our 2 most underrated players going into training camp seem to be getting the most praise now. SO MANY Clippers record are going to be broken this season.

dont like this DJ posting up crap. He needs to reb, block shots, hit an occasional midrange j and stay out of Blake''s way. I hop he doesnt clog the paint.

Is there such thing as getting in Blake's way? The dude can jump over DeAndre if he has to. If DeAndre is not in the post that means more defensive rebounds for the opposing team.

Our two X Factors on the team. If Bledsoe+DJ make a big development jump this year we are unquestionable title contenders. If they don't, we are likely 2nd round exits again.

I think it's good dj is learning a go to move...it was times last they threw the ball in to dj and he had no clue wat to do with the ball. So one or two post move and a counter is a good thing. A jump hook plus an up n under mover should do it.

He won't get in Blake's way, that's what Blake is working on his mid range game for, so the both of them won't be on the block at the same time. Blake high, dj low. If Blake gets to the low post first then have dj roam or set a pick for cp3.

When dj goes to the bench, LO high, Blake low or vice versa. The paint won't be clogged.

I agree with the DJ observation. He is our starting center and will command the most minutes at that position, so an improvement from him would be a huge difference maker. As for Bledsoe he did really well the few times he was in, and to be honest with you as the second unit point guard he doesnt have to be spectaular. I think his playoff stats: PPG 7.9, RPG 2.40, APG 2.1, and EFF+ 9.64 in the 17 minutes he averaged is really good. At that pace if he was playing 34 minutes every game he would be averaging 15.8 PPG, 4.8 RPG, and 4.2 APG...not bad at all for your number 2 point guard. All I want from him is to stay healthy and continue to do that.

We are already stacked with many positions and there's not much pressure on any one guy to carry the team. I feel that these guys are going to be killing the competition. I am predicting a finals win this year

Deandre cant be afraid to post up in games. They said some of the same things about Deandre last year going into the season. He has to be a some kind of threat down low. Other wise it makes it that much harder on blake and the rest of the guys.

As far as bledsoe with given time this year, he should be one of the best back up pgs in the league. He has the talent to start on most teams just not this one. He is my favorite player on the team when he plays he is fearless.

I agree that DJ's main focus should on defense and rebounding, but it'll be helpful if he's a threat on the offensive end to help take a little attention off of Blake.

Stay out of foul trouble, rebound, blocks, and defend that's all I want dj to do

DJ worked on everything this summer, post up, ft, jumper, DEFENSE! ANd he said himself that the important thing for him is to be the anchor on the defense!

I'm glad DJ has worked on his game. We'll see how it translates on the court.

sometimes he gets bored dunking on other teams so he dunks on his own teammates.

DJ just needs some basic post moves and better free throw shooting. He does not need to be anything but average offensively. The key is his defense. He needs to be a defensive anchor and not be a liability offensively.

I think Bledsoe should get more minutes even when CP3 is back. Maybe play him at SG. I dunno. He is undersized but we played well with him in the lineup in the playoffs. I think he can be a sixth man type of player.

Also very happy that we got Grant Hill. Very classy, cool vet. Wish I could have seen him more in his prime. He was LBJ esque.

When DJ is a threat, it means other teams cannot as easily double Blake. We lost a lot of close games because Blake was impaired by a double down low. We need DJ to be some sort of offensive threat to improve the team overall.

ill take dj giving us 10 and 10 with 3 blocks, while making 65 percent of his ft's. that way he can be out there late in games if he has to be. ebled might morph into bobby jackson this season. that will give us the best pg combo in the whole league by a lot. cant wait to see this team in action

DJ shouldnt be a jump shooter. Blake should be more of a jump shooter plus he likes the range a little bit so he can posterize the opponent.

If DJ is somewhat of a threat posting up it will help get blake more open. The fact that DJ might be a threat down low means that other teams won't be able to double blake as often therefore creating more space for the offense to flow. DJ developing an offensive game is huge for this team.

When you have 2 post up bigs that like to dunk that's good, they can own the paint TOGETHER, something that Bynum had problems with Gasol, DJ just didn't require any attention last year, it's good for him to be a threat!

If they can play and get a whole lot better on D, then it doesnt matter about them having to be dominant post players. One can be more Dominant and the other can get his when needed be as in DJ. The difference with Bynum and Gasol are that they both wanted and required lots of touches. Only one of our guy needs that and it's Blake. DJ can get cleaning up and lobs and hustle plays, to go along with a few post plays. Our guys Ego's aren't as big as Gasol and Bynum, and it shows by how much they complain about not getting enough touches. I can't see DJ or even Blake saying that, besides we have CP3 who will distribute it accordingly. If Blake's jumper improve each year and he can hit that 15-18 ft consistanly in a couple years, they will be alright. If DJ just had Kaman's skillset minus the turnovers and softness on layups, man can you guys imagine this team. Everyone was excited about DJ last season, he started off well, then just went downhill on defense and offense. Hopefully he starts well this year and keeps playing like that all year long. IF he does that, this team has a good shot to bring home the ship.

I hope DJ and Blake can be like a twin tower and much better version than Gasol and Bynum. DJ with post threat with Blake occasional midrange game is lethal right there. If they accomplish that and add great defensive presence especially DJ, than we'll be equivalent to Gasol and Dwight front court. Let see what you got DJ.

Hey Bull, wondered where you were. Nice to see you've returned.

By the way what did you do with the name that shall not be mentioned (initials CS and has dual meanings, LOL).

DJ needs post ups. Don't underestimate the value of putting your big man in rhythm. If he is getting touches and post-ups it keeps him engaged. I have noticed when he gets ignored and is only told to play defense its harder for him. Thats just a natural aspect of basketball, keep him involved and I see his productivity jumping much higher than last year.

We'll have to see how the season plays out. I'll be happy with 10/10/3 50%/65% from DJ. Bledsoe already made bugemstrides last year and it was noticeable. His main weakness was being under control and patient. A patient Bledsoe is almost a lock for 6moty
