Certrainly Dumleavy has some redeeming value as a coach because the Clippers record has improved each year over the last 3. His biggest problem seems to be he is actually a lousy talent evaluator (Yaroslav draft pick). Sometimes a coach reaches his point of diminishing returns. In other words, he might have taken the team as far as he can go. Once that momentum has stalled, any and all the fixes he tries no longer works. It is at that point that the team needs to be led by new blood that can get them to the next level. But instead of giving the team an infusion of new ideas, new solutions, and new blood, we have re-signed Dumleavy for 4 more years just at the point where he might have reached the point where he is no longer effective with this squad. I hope I am wrong, and he can find a way to re-energize our team. There is no way Baylor and owner Sterling is going to eat a 22 Mil contract with Dumleavy to bring in another coach. We are stuck here. We all need to pray for a miracle.

I agree with JamFan, Dunleavy is a horrible wannnabe scout. I'm still pissed about the Lionel Chalmers pick when Duhon was available during a time when we badly needed a pg. But anyways, as a coach, I like the guy. He is definately not the best, but he is above average, and just think about how much worse of a situation we could be in. So what can we do about the whole talent evaluator situation? HIRE ISIAH THOMAS! Yes I said, he may be a bad coach and an even worse GM, but he is a hell of a talent evaluator: nate robinson, channing frye, trevor ariza... We got to get him as soon as he gets fired, because who are we kidding, he has to get fired.

I was listening to a sports talk radio show today and they had Dumb-leavy on. He said that the team needs to get back to the basics so they are having training camp drills to improve the fundamentals and conditioning of the team. He was saying how the guys just seemed to run out of gas in the fourth quarter in the last couple games. I was hoping that the show would take phone calls from fans but it didn't. I wanted to tell Dumb-leavy that one of the reasons his players are running out of gas is because he doen't know how to use his bench. Maybe if he'd use guys like Singleton and Ewing more, then the main guys would be fresher at the end of games. He also kept bring up the excuses of guys being injured or not having a training camp because of the Russia trip. Well Mike, this is the NBA...all teams deal with injuries. And the Suns and Spurs both had pre-season trips to Europe and they seem to be playing just fine. Quit making excuses and get your team to play the right way Dumb-leavy.
