I laughed so hard when Chauncey pretended to come in the game. Although it was a little sloppy everyone was having fun and absolutely no one was upset about anything.

Bledsoe is looking good!! And what was that guy doing at a Clippers scrimmage if he was going to be praising the Lakers?

At some point, a Clipper player will find a way to bed Madelyn Burke. I imagine that it's hard to keep your hormones under control when you have a woman like this following you around for the entire season.

No matter where you go,,there is always the homer in a Laker (usually Kobe) shirt. My wife and I always play the,,,spot-the-idiot-in-the-Kobe-Jersey whenever we go to a sporting event. If you went to see Bass Fishing (can you go and see that?) the idiot would be there,,,probably the guy fishing.

I think a lot of the moves made in the offseason are not fully evaluated. Sure the Lakers got Dwight, but what people dont realize is that the Lakers improved a position that they were already strong at, the center position. Even their point guard acquisition wasnt as strong as one may think. They got an old point guard who can distribute but no longer has the legs to keep up defensively with the Rajon Rondo's, Chris Paul's and Westbrooks of the league. This has and continues to be a problem for them.

I'm not going to naively say that these acquisitions didnt make the Lakers better, but in my opinion their acquisitions didnt address their weaknesses, which were the point guard position and essentially getting younger. The biggest problem is that their roster is aging, and their bench is not as deep as a championship team needs to be.

We all know that injuries happen, and last year was more of an anomoly for the Lakers in that they didnt suffer any major injury. This year they wont be as fortunate.

In contrast, we addressed a key flaw from last year: the bench. When Chauncey went down we were ill prepared for that injury. Mo Williams clearly didnt have the clutch shooting and skill set that Chauncey had. I feel that Jamal Crawford provides that. To boot, we added Lamar Odom to play behind Blake Griffin, Grant Hill and Matt Barnes to play behind Caron Butler, Turiaf and Hollins to play behind DJ, and Bledsoe plays behind CP3.

Now if we would have followed the example of the Lakers and did what they did then the equivalent would have been for us to trade our point guard, Chris Paul, for one who is better...say for instance Russel Westbrook, Derick Rose, or Rajon Rondo (im basing this on efficiency). While it would make us somewhat better at the point we wouldnt have address the glaring need to add depth in preparation for injury.

I do feel that we have incredible depth, and even if the lakers starting five can outscore our starting five (which i thnk will be the case) our bench will demolish theirs.

An NBA game is won by the collective effort of 10 players:a starting squad of five and a strong bench of five. The Lakers dont have that, but the media forgets that. Every super team that gets assembled (aside from the Boston Celtics) doesnt win the finals the firstt year together. It takes them their second year to get a good squad to shore up the bench..Lakers dont have it.

Also, by next year even if the lakers get that bench a 41 year old nash 35 year old kobe, 36 year old Metta and the a declining Pau Gasol are not going to cut it.

Look at our Squad: Blake GRiffin (23), Deandre Jordan (23), Chris PAul (27). I know we have some aging players with Billups, Hill, Crawford, and Barnes, but our core is younger than their and we have more time than they do. People havent examined these squads in their entirety.

RE: The scrimmage movie

Is there a reason Trey Thompkins isn't playing full contact? I didn't know he was injured but his shot looks really good.

I also didn't recognize some of the players, are those just camp invites like the big white guy?

Eric Patten: "The Clippers added five players prior to training camp, rounding out the roster at 20." Courtney Fortson, Marqus Blakely, Chris Johnson, Trent Plaisted, Hank Thorns. Their training camp profiles are on the Clippers NBA page.
