| Please, please, ping-ong balls, #1 or #2. The 2008-09 season is riding on it. Rose, Rose, Rose. The next Chris Paul! What do you think? |

I agree. I have my lucky rabbit's foot by my rosary next to my "lucky" Brand jersey hanging next to my Clipper's poster with candles lit for good luck. I would have added my favorite Nike's but with the stench and all, i think that would just produce bad Karma.
I wonder if practicing Santaria would do the trick? |

| Yeah it would be amazing if we got the number 1or 2 pick. We really need is badly. Hopefully the Sonics don't get it. They would have quite a team with that number 1 or 2 pick. |

Agree - in my perfect world the other two top slots would go to Eastern teams. |

| Maybe we should sacrifice a chicken, or get voodoo dolls for all of the other teams. Somebody find us a witch doctor so we can put a hex on everybody else. |

| I'm praying for the #1 pick, but I'll take #2 should Memphis win the lottery. Chances are, they WON'T draft D. Rose with their 27 PG's on their roster. |

Same here. I also think Miami would take Beasley if they get the #1. |

| Ooooh I don't know ether. I read that Riley loves the idea of a Rose/Wade backcourt. And who wouldn't? Beasley is after all just an upgrade to the already tough Haslem. A big upgrade admittedly, but Haslem is no chump. On the other hand the Heat juggled points all year and won't get much for the aging Williams via trade. Beasley is bound to be tempting, but I don't see how they could pass on Rose. They take him and really all they need is a quality center if Wright is finally ready to make the SF position his own. That's IF they get the chance to draft him. But as clipper*joe mentioned, you can bet there'll be a lot of Santeria action leading up to draft night. It's Miami right? You would NOT want to be a chicken in Miami if your Santeria keeper was a Heat fan! As for us... I'm not greedy. I would be happy with Bayless. |

| Im praying for a top 2 pick. Even with the second pick we could trade with a team like memphis and get a point guard and still have a high draft pick. Im getting exited been reading everything i could on all the players who are to be selected 1-10. And they all look good might be a good draft year. |

I agree clipshow 100%, trading the potential Beasley pick would have tremendous value. So #2 would be as awesome as #1.
Hey DWB ... I stand corrected, you're probably right. |

Although, Rose is undoubtedly the guy we need most, the thought of having Beasley on our team is tempting though. A lineup of EB, Beasley, Kaveman, and Thornton = wow. And if EB does leave after next year, we'd have Beasley step in as the face of the franchise. |

| I'd take Beasley with the #2 pick. He is no-doubt a talented player who hates losing. He'll play tough and probably fit well with our team. He isnt gonna start right away, but like you say, just in-case Brand decides to leave sometime soon, we'd have a future backup, as long as he doesnt mind being our 6th man. |

OK, for you math geeks (like me), here is how the lottery actually works (or go to Wikipeida.com and look up "NBA LOTTERY" for more head-spinning number crunching and the full cabalistic procedure):
To determine the winner, fourteen ping pong balls numbered 1-14 are placed in a standard lottery machine and four balls are randomly selected from the lot. The order in which the numbers are drawn is not important. That is, 1-2-3-4 is considered to be the same as 4-3-2-1. So although there is a total of 24 orders in which the balls numbered 1-2-3-4 can be picked, they are all treated as the same outcome. So there are 24,024 (14x13x12x11) possible permutations; then by a factor of 24, to 1,001 combinations. Of these, 1 outcome is disregarded and 1,000 outcomes are distributed among the 14 non-playoff NBA teams.
Three more days! |

| ^^Yep 5 PM Pacific- I'll be here online + watching ESPN for sure! If I remember correctly they spend like the first 15-20 minutes just talking and analyzing, & the results won't be announced until the last half of the show. |

| I had a nightmare the other night and in that dream we were drafting 12th. I know that is not possible but it certainly was a weird dream Now I'm dreaming the 1 or 2 or 3 spot in that order. We know at the 1 spot its Rose, at the 2 spot it's Beasley. Anybody want to get into the debate out there about who you would take at the 3 spot? Bayless or OJ Mayo? |

| Man I can't wait till tomorrow. I would pick bayless if we ended up at the 3 spot. I think we should trade the pick if we get beyond that if we can get a impact player in return because there are teams that would probably love to have a pick like 6. Maybe like the Ray Allen deal last draft. Hopefully we get one of the top 2 picks. |
