I say no, not because I don't think Randolph would be nice for us, but because I don't want Cuttino Mobley to be included in the trade. Tim Thomas, Josh Powell, and Brevin Knight + a future first rounder (lottery protected) would be my choice. Unfortunately it seems that we'll be about $3 mil short to make the trade work.

Trades still work if we match 75 - 80% of Randolphs salary.

I agree. I'll give up Thomas, Powell, and Knight but Mobley is still beneficial for us. Plus I think he'll be great sharing minutes with Gordon whether starting or coming off the bench.

I do believe in second chances... but when even they don't seem to work out, as a GM I'd be pretty leary about bringing in an "off " character guy like Randolph. You can have marvelous talent, but if the team chemistry is wrong, you don't win. Randolph has so far not shown himself to be a chemistry player. Pass.
