Bobcats open discussions with Magic, Clippers

[excerpt] FORT MILL -- The Charlotte Bobcats continue to discuss the possibilities of moving up to one of the top two spots in the upcoming NBA Draft, while working out players who appeal to them if they stay in their current fourth spot.

Bobcats head coach and general manager Bernie Bickerstaff said Wednesday he's called counterparts with both the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Clippers, owners of the top two picks.

"I have voiced an opinion," Bickerstaff said. "I've called and asked them if there's anything that we can do to help. Obviously I've called both (Magic and Clippers), and they said they'd document that, and we'll just go from there.

"But we have opened the door and let them know we do have an interest."
