Why are there so many foreign players being drafted. And how come they are so much more mature and so much more fundamentally sound than the college kids. Does anyone think this is just a fad that will pass through or will foreign players one day dominate the N.B.A.

I heard that the European players at least get started on basketball very early and are able to practice way more- e.g. they have the time to shoot 1000 jumpshots a day whereas here a high school player might shoot only 200. Maybe that's why you see all those great shooters from Europe. But I suppose as basketball get more popular around the world, more kids are interested in the game and thus practicing more and getting better. The foreign players won't dominate the NBA I don't think but they'll probably make more impact as the years go by as basketball become more popular.
