    MAGGETTE trade?

There have been many trade talks about Maggette. He goes here for him. 1 - 1 trade. multiplayer trade. The truth is simple. Basketball is a buisness (the NBA at least) and economically one thing makes sense.

Take a look at our situation. I appreciate for all the Clipper fans, i know just cuz u know numbers and history UR NOT A BIG CLIPPER FAN. one must understand the game to appreciate a team. The Clipper do not, i repeat DO NOT, have a championship team. Not with Kaman, and not with a deteriorationg sam/developing livingston. BUT MAGGETTE, are you people out of your damn minds. Obviously you have forgotten maggette the second leading scorer in the team. The person that can score effortlessly. Im sorry but i would take an explosive (maybe injury prone, which he has gotten leaner this year) maggette over a worn out, but stable peirce. The Clippers do not need an all-star now, we have a balanced team, and give livingston time he will be worth (unless a complete big PG is traded to us, which wont happen). Kaman needs to go, tim thomas cant be our starting center, and CAT has got to get sparked again. Q is finding rhythm. DONT YOU SEE WE ARRE NEARLLY THERE, weve waited long, now just wait a little more (ya we got a lil smell of "sucess"). but that should just narrow our direction towards the championship. we have not made big enough adjustments to spark to number 1

So who should the Clippers trade Maggette for and who would complete the championship puzzle if you don't think Maggette is a piece?

Ok...after trying to read (it was a bit difficult to understand) I think I'm getting that LAC_12 likes Corey Maggette on the team and that Paul Pierce is "worn out, but stable". Hmmm...if 27.2 points per game and 9.0 rebounds per game is "worn out", then something is wrong.
I'd do the Maggette and Livingston for Paul Pierce deal in a second if it were available. Pierce's efficiency rating is +25, Maggette's is +14. I guarantee that Kaman will produce a whole lot more than Livingston this year. Kaman is playing poorly and still has an efficiency rating that is two points higher than Livingston. The people talking bad about Kaman will be eating their words by the end of the year.
And don't say that people are not BIG CLIPPER FANS...not when some of us have cheered on players like Benoit Benjamin, Ken Norman, Charles Smith, Mark Jackson....the list could go on and on, while this team was going through terrible years. The Clippers can definitely compete for a championship this year...and they would be greatly improved with a go-to allstar like Paul Pierce over a Corey Maggette. Those that say otherwise don't have a good understanding of the game.

Wow...Maggette EXPLODED against the Kings for a big 6 points, all from the line, as he missed all nine of his shots. More like an implosion than an explosion. When is he going to realize that he isn't a 3 point shooter???

I agree it was a bit hard to understand. I think he's saying we are gonna need one more year before we are championship material. Maybe so...but hey they're my favorite team every year (that aint changing). So this year, next year, 3 years from now (hey it would suck to wait that long, but i'd still love it). I just look at the fact that they almost went to the finals (they could have beat Dallas) and that they hardly had any roster changes that they'd be in the elite this year. But its early, and our armchair GM sides are taking control, hehe.

Oh oops I thought LAC_12 wanted to trade Maggette. I agree with LAC_12 that we don't need to make any drastic moves for now. Let the chemistry have a chance to get back to where it was last year, play team ball and hopefully things will fall into place (and balls into baskets)....

The Paul Pierce trade wouldn't happen anyways. If Pierce wanted to be traded he wouldn't have signed that contract extension. As for Maggette, he really is a good outside shooter. But like a lot of Clippers of late, the shots haven't been falling.
