Baylor to Olowokandi: Put Up and Shut Up

[excerpt] The Clippers were dismayed Thursday to read of center Michael Olowokandi's reaction to the booing Wednesday by some of the 14,842 fans at Staples Center whenever he touched the ball during a 103-95 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.

"I don't want to get into this," said Elgin Baylor, Clipper general manager, who then spoke at length when asked for a response to Olowokandi's postgame statement that he wouldn't be playing for the team next season, "So if they want to boo, they can go right ahead and boo."

I agree with Miquel, they should trade him now! That attitude is detrimental to the team. Denver is very interested in him. Only thing is, Camby is still hurt.

I think there's a restriction on Kandi's contract that he can't be trade. So I guess the clips will have him for the rest of the season whether we like it or not...

Yeah I agree the Clippers should trade him, but they can't as chubbychoco pointed out :-(. Now the question is who should play center next year. I think Brand can play center against a lot of teams.

I like Clipperfan35's idea. Miller is obviously not a good fit here, Jaric is a very versatile player. Tonight Kandi seemed out of it to me. Brand could fill in as center.

Well we'll see- I've still heard from other places that there's like no way he can be traded, period. Who knows though because if the team does make the playoffs (a long shot at this point) maybe he'll change his mind and re-sign with the Clippers. His D is very good and he is a capable post-up player.
