    Dooling Shows Some Passion

[excerpt] Coach Alvin Gentry heard Dooling loud and clear during a heated conversation between the two during a timeout with the Clippers trailing, 81-61, with 7:52 left. Gentry later said he had no problem with Dooling's rant, saying he was pleased to see some passion from at least one of his players.

Dooling made the most of his chance, scoring seven of his eight points on three-for-six shooting in the final seven-plus minutes of the game.

"I really want to help the team because the team is really in distress right now," Dooling said. "We've got to be better pros."

Well it's about time a player took some leadership and showed some intensity, anger, and passion about the Clipper situation. Just for that Keyon Dooling should start the next game. Probably not going to happen though.

I'll admit that I have never been a big Dooling fan, but he has what the rest are lacking...Start him!

dooling is a much better player than miller, i think, clippers need him with elton and lomar and maggette next year .... with a new and coach!!!
as far az this year gose it is really hard to watch clippers bleed like this. last night on jay leno show i heard the first clipper joke dis in a long time!
i also like ely i think he's got game ,, good for next year!! IS IT ME or no one misses the kandi man. ha... dont get me wrong it would be nice if he stays for next year.. but if he leaves.. it dont matter that much! we all seen how he plays for the last few years.

DIGNITY is the word...I've seen the match versus Pistons and the situation is horrible...and there are still more than 40 games to play....Ufff...Miller seems be sleeping. Elgin told him that he was playing very bad but he hasn't reacted so he must go to the bench inmediately a whole game, perhaps he gets up...Odom: I think that u can play much better...Sean: go to the bench...Ely in the starting five...He and Wilcox are only the players who want to play basketball...less minutes to Dre, Lamar, Corey, Sean and Elton it means the starting five in the last games...more minutes to Cris, Melvin, Marko, and Keyon...and WANG. Where's heż Has he returned from his holidays? To sum up: Clippers are a team without future with this guys, this coach and this president.

Just to wake up the "Starting Five", Gentry should start the five who finished the last game--Dooling, Ely, Wilcox,Q,and Pike/Wang. If they don't get any time, they can't get any better.
If Elton, Lamar, Corey, Sean, and Dre come off the bench maybe they will have a spark in the fourth.
    Kandi who??

I would like to again see the explosive Keyon Dooling from two years ago before his ankle sprain and I think he made an appearance at the game last night. I remeber one of his first games he drove down the lane and dunked over Dikembe Mutombo and gave Dikembe a finger-wag to boot!!! I also remember there was a game two years ago when the Clippers were down by like 15 in the fourth quarter and Gentry pulled McInnis and put Dooling in the rest of the way and the Clippers stormed back to win. So far this year he's been settling for the outside shots and when he does drive inside he gets a lot of shots blocked. But yeah last night he had a big dunk there towards the end and he was definitely fired up.

As far as the other guys- we all agree that Miller needs to wake up, cut down the turnovers, and work harder in practice on his outside game. As for Lamar Odom- he's been putting up weak numbers lately- his scoring and rebounding are down, and his decision-making hasn't been too sharp. He can definitely play better- but let's not forget he was out for an entire year. We'll see how he does after getting the batteries recharged over the break.
