Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been a Clipper fan for years, although living in Anaheim has limited the number of games I can attend each year. I won a contest a few years back and was an official 6th man. I got a #6 jersey with my name on it, got to hang out on the court with the team before the game, and got introduced with the starters. I think due to security concerns or whatever they don't do this contest anymore. They still have a 6th man contest, but you just get to watch the game from a suite or something. It was a great experience standing on center court hearing the people in Staples Center clap for you. Anyways, that's why my screen name is clippers6.
Like I said, I haven't been able to go to as many games as I like to due to not living in LA, so I've mostly done individual games the past few years. I decided to go ahead and get a mini-plan this year so hopefully I can be at more games. Oh, being raised in Anaheim my other favorite teams have been the Ducks and the Angels so I'm used to rooting for underdogs and am definitely not a bandwagon fan. The Ducks and Angels have paid off my fan loyalty in recent years and I'm hoping the Clippers will do the same soon. |
