 He grew up in the LA area. Went to high school in Santa Monica at the Crossroads School for the Arts and Sciences. He lived a dream by going to play for his hometown team in college and became a legend at UCLA. Now at age 29, he is coming back home to play in the NBA for the Los Angeles Clippers. It's a dream come true for the player and the fans. Ticket sales will be brisk. Baron Davis is coming back to help resurrect a franchise that has been decimated by injuries just after finally reaching the playoffs two seasons ago. He joins a pair of stars in Elton Brand and Chris Kaman. He comes to tutor another young budding star in Al Thorton, the scoring machine. He comes to mentor one of greatest young shooters to ever come out of college, Eric Gordon. He is there to help put it all together into one smooth engine firing on all cylinders. He will push the offense like no other point guard in the history of the LA Clippers. He will score. Do we have the makings of one of the most talented back courts in all of basketball, Baron Davis and Eric Gordon? Can they combine for 40 points a night? Will they shoot the lights out? With their outside shooting will they free up our big guys down low, so that they can have their way with any defense that tries to stop them? Will there be another great player that will sign a long term mid level deal with Clippers just so he can be a part of what is about to happen? The Red Baron flies again, this time in a Clippers uniform. JamFan

It's amazing all the "new" people on this site. Where the fudge did they come from? Baron Davis agrees to sign and we already got bandwagoners, lol. Stay Strong, true Clipper Nation!

Of course, having Baron come over will certainly put more spotlight and attention towards the club (and this forum). The fact David and regulars like CJ et al are hospitable and knowledgable helps.
